imschur
So I ate at this place called Roxy in Times Square NYC. My medium cooked bacon cheeseburger was so overcooked it crunched. Marios was the same. The bill was $41 for two burgers and a coffee. I left a $5 tip. The waitress chases me down for not leaving a minimum mandatory tip.I hate the city. I did like all the pretty ladies though
Microgunner
First, if it's mandatory it's not a tip. Secondly, last time I had a $17 burger it came with soup, salad, big ol drink and pie. I wouldn't have paid for it if it was burned.
imschur
A slice of cheesecake was $9.
Microgunner
At those prices I hope they had someone to wipe your butt when you took a dump.

447MSGT
What is a "mandatory" tip? I thought the tip was a way of recognizing good service.
imschur
What is a "mandatory" tip? I thought the tip was a way of recognizing good service.I think it's just New York City mentality. A $17 cheeseburger and a $10 slice of cheesecake should have been my sign... asmurff
At $17 I'd have thought a tip was already included. We went ti Ireland a bit over a year ago and you don't tip yet I only got bad service in a place in dublin which is a big place for Americans to go. bdavison
McGuire's Irish Pub in Pensacola, FL has a burger they call the "Grand".If I remember correctly, its a lb of kobe beef burger, and it comes with a magnum of fine champagne.$100 bucks.Needless to say I never tried it. But their peanut butter burger was awesome.

bdavison
Yes, Peanut Butter Burger....it sounds disgusting, but its actually QUITE tasty. Its a regular grilled burger, but with a thin condiment sized helping of peanut butter on top.If you havent tried this yet, you need to. Its similar in taste to those peanut crusted steaks you get at fancy steakhouses....just in burger form.
