TrabFTW Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Heya, Just wanted to say hi. Picked up my Sig on Friday and put 200 rounds through it on Saturday. Shoots pretty damned nice. One question; Are there any "speed loaders" or loading assisting devices I could pick up? I'm sure you've all experienced the sore thumb issue from loading. Cheers,
Madhouse Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Welcome, and congrats!! :thumb:I love shooting my Sig! I haven't found any loader like what you're asking about.
jlin Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Black Dog Machine has both a crank type as well as a thumb loader listed on their website. I don't have any experience with either on the 522, although I've used something similar to the thumb loader on Glock magazines with good results.http://blackdogmachinellc.net/sig-522-lr.aspx
crashoverrideplik Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I have the Christie's loader. I "think" it's the same thing that Black Dog is selling. Here's a link to where I got mine:http://store.a51tactical.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1988
mudpie Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I got mine today as well.$360. NIB plus the scope. Great little rifle. Good weight, feels solid. Can't wait for its big brother SIG716. See image.
TrabFTW Posted February 16, 2011 Author Report Posted February 16, 2011 You got that all for that price? Nice score!
mudpie Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 The firearm, the Sig Sauer case, magazine etc was $360 on Gunbroker.com. The scope and bungee sling extra but less than $100.
21rides2rule Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 dang that is such a good price for that gun, cheapest ive seen so far is right around $500, although i have not been on gunbroker to much yet... good score man and congrats
Michigan Joe Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Just got my sig today. Had it shipped from Buds Gun Shop. I did not realize that it came in the blue foam lined case even though it is shown plain as day in the photos. On my case it states, "Date: March 30, 2010."Could the gun have been manufactured a year ago? The rifle is very nice and the quality looks pretty good. I guess I am getting used to the use of plastic on guns. It would make me feel better if the clip were metal where the bullets get stripped off when shooting.
