Dutchdiamondback Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 ...permission to enter the Tactical22.net forums.Allow me to introduce myself.I'm ( my nick is a bit of a give-away ) a sportshooter from the Netherlands. To those of you who don't know it: it's that glorious country west of that thing called Germany. I started shooting about 6 years ago and am a gunowner since 2006. My brand is Colt and my favorite is my 6" Diamondback .22lr.I happened to stumble across this forum in my frantic search for information on a new rifle I just ordered last week. Kind of a bolt thing for me to do: ordering a rifle that is so brand new that reviews are scarce.I will be spendig most of my time in the direct vecinity off the ISSC Mk22 area.Any questions, feel free to ask.Dutchdiamondback.
techmike Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Welcome - looking forward to learning about shooting activities in the Netherlands.
Dutchdiamondback Posted March 1, 2011 Author Report Posted March 1, 2011 Well, except from no full-auto, SBR-restrictions and some minor issues I can honestly say we don't have it to bad.We can compete in (almost) all ISSF regulated sportshootingcompetitions, IPSC and various other forms of sportshooting sportshooters figure out a long the way. Only biggest downside is that as a sportshooter one can only posses 5 firearms. Heavely registered of course.
Microgunner Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Welcome to T22. I own one ISSC product, a M22, and it's a fine little pistol. Hope to hear more from you about your new MK22.
Dutchdiamondback Posted March 4, 2011 Author Report Posted March 4, 2011 My dealer confirmed it's arrival.Unfortunately he resides on the other side of the country but the mail is about as fast as a frikin' snail and I need the paperwork for the red tape. Patience, virtue and that stuff... lousy excuse for behavin' while waitin' >:(
Microgunner Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 How will it get from your dealer to you? Here in the US the buyer must receive the firearm in person from the dealer and sign for it at that time. Cannot be shipped directly to the buyer.
Dutchdiamondback Posted March 6, 2011 Author Report Posted March 6, 2011 Same thing on this side of the pond. After the firearm has been registered on my permit (hopefully tomorrow in the morning - my PD is always very helpfull ) I must go and pick it up in person. Within 2 weeks I then must have the weapon screened by my PD to check the numbers. And that's basically it.
techmike Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 You can only have 5 firearms?? "Heavely registered of course." Holy crap. In Ohio, no registration, no limit on the number. I am trying to pick which 5 guns I would pick if I could only have 5......
Dutchdiamondback Posted March 7, 2011 Author Report Posted March 7, 2011 Don't.It's far more relaxing to bigger and argue about which rifle you"ll be buying next. ;DBelieve me: been there - done that - there's an about 25.000 long waitinglist for that frikin' t-shirt in my neck of the woods...
Microgunner Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 So, you must drive all the way across the Netherlands to pick up your firearm? How far a drive is that?
