Know what ya mean - I was off work for surgery, had planned on drowning some bait as "therapy". Didn't happen.

I tried the bait drowning technique after I had my appendix removed in 1998, I went to a local lake in the UK I had a great days fishing I caught 4 15-18lb carp then I had a huge run on one of my poles I struck in to the fish it gave a huge tug back I slipped down the bank  and my feet went in the water I pulled the stitches in my abdomen there was  blood was seeping out on to my t-shirt I caught a personal best mirror carp at 26 pounds and spent the night back in hospital, but it was worth it.  ;D

WOW! That does not sound like fun! It would put me off fishing (if I did fish).

Do me a favor...

Send all of it across the Great Pond to my neck of the woods. It hasn't rained properly in something like 2 and a half months here and with a pyromaniac (50 suspect fires in the last 2 years) on the loose we have our share of wildfires as well. As of yesterday about 6 Companies of firefighters ( that's 12 engines plus various support vehicles each! ) from across the nation and 5 helicopters and 100 members of the armed forces are battle-ing various blazes.

Besides that it's lovely weather of course. Already have put the barby in use and in March - that's early! ;D

The rains need to stop soon,I need to get the seed in the ground if there is going to be critters in the freezer this fall. We have clay soil here in Central Ohio and the tractors sink in it when its this wet.
