1True1_55 Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 I live in SW WA and have served 8 years in the USAR before being injured and disabled. So now I have to limit my fire arms use to .22 for weight and recoil, my shoulder muscles have weakened over time and it makes for holding larger calibre fire-arms more difficult so I will have to limit my time to .22s.And after reading about the lethality of the .22 calibre it looks like I might make this my defence weapon of choice.
asmurff Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Welcome and thank you for your service. Hey you use what you can handle, a 10/22 with a 25 round magazine isn't something I'd want to face.
lmao_37 Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Hi and welcome youll find a good bunch in here :thumb: a 10/22 with a 25 round magazine isn't something I'd want to face.A 10/22 wouldnt be to scary.......I wouldn't wana see Mr Smurf running through the door in his underware i would need to scrub my eye's out with steel wool ;D
asmurff Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 I restrict my 10/22 activities to the range, plus I keep sweat pants (don't want bad guys to die laughing at my smurf boxers >:D) by the bed, along with a 1911A1 and a 12ga pump for things that go bump in the night.

Microgunner Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 Welcome to the forum. You'll find that the lowly .22 is often used successfully in lawful self defense. Shot placement is paramount.
