imschur Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 This looks interesting and different.
asmurff Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Now that is different, not sure I want to know home much.
bdavison Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Whew that thing is gonna cost BUCKS!But Im still tempted...
Tal Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Big bucks I'll bet. but it does have the mucho cool factor for sure.. 8)
Microgunner Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Anschutz building a tactical 22! Unbelievable! I want one already.
bdavison Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Im thinking Im going to have to pick one of these up when they come out....regardless of cost. This is not going to be pretty....Its about time we got a match-grade tactical .22
imschur Posted September 16, 2011 Author Report Posted September 16, 2011 just learned these are based on the ISSC MKII
Microgunner Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 That's a deal breaker. I guess Anschutz isn't above whoring out their name. Shame.
bdavison Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 They might be based off the ISSC MK2, but I highly doubt they ARE the ISSC MK2. Anschutz would never whore their name out....ever.
imschur Posted September 16, 2011 Author Report Posted September 16, 2011 take a look at the chassis side by side
imschur Posted September 17, 2011 Author Report Posted September 17, 2011 heres a little more http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2011/09/16/the-anschutz-msr-is-the-isscs-msr-mk22/
bdavison Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 No doubt there are some similarities in appearance. But, just because it looks like a ISSC MK2, doesnt mean it is.A Springfield Armory 1911 may look like a Les Baer, but they are two TOTALLY different guns. The ISSC MK2 uses a sleeved barrel...the Anschutz does not. Im sure there are some other differences internally too.And....ESC GmbH makes guns for both Anschutz and ISSC....which would explain why they would use a cross platform model. ESC GmbH engineered and produced the ISSC MK2...it would serve to say that the Anschutz company would refine a design they already had to make it better for their brand name.
Microgunner Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 I own two Anschutzes now and used to own a third and have to say that all three have been nothing short of stellar, so maybe this new rifle will live up to the standard. I'll have to wait and see.
imschur Posted September 17, 2011 Author Report Posted September 17, 2011 Maybe they can offer the barrel as an aftermarket for the MarkII
JoechenAnschuetz Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 Now that is different, not sure I want to know home much.ANSCHUTZ launched a new website for the MSR RX 22 in March 2012.The MSR product range was a big hit at SHOT and IWA show. Please have a look and download the new catalog:http://www.anschuetz-msr.com/us/index.htmlIt is all about precision !!
Scratcher Posted September 15, 2012 Report Posted September 15, 2012 He he he, I got one!At 50 yards with CCI mini mags 10, 20, 30+ rounds all stay within an inch. And yes the quality is WAY better than the ISSC.BUT, it's not worth $400 more than my Sig 522 except for maybe the trigger. It IS worth $400 more than my HK416. Love the HK except for that darn trigger pack.
Microgunner Posted September 15, 2012 Report Posted September 15, 2012 I'm glad to hear this good report. Now you've got me lusting again.Got photos?
Scratcher Posted March 26, 2013 Report Posted March 26, 2013 I picked one up last year. Top quality, nothing like the cheap ISSC. Shoots 1" groups at 50 yards with CCI 40 grn round nose.
