techmike
Sat in chair #5 all day, then dismissed by the defense at 4:30 pm. Trial is two Hispanic guys that (allegedly) were on a bit of a crime spree last year. 7 count indictment. Was a gang of 6 or so, but only two defendants left, apparently the rest have plead to lesser crimes and plan to testify on their former buds. The judge asked if anyone knew anything about firearms, so I think that the defense did not want a NRA instructor in the jury.

bdavison
Yeah, typical defense lawyers...instead of worrying about the criminal charges, lets get em off on a anti-gun agenda technicality, and prevent any jurors with firearms knowledge, or expert witnesses from blowing their defense out of the water.
