I picked up a box of Hornady Zombie Max .45 Auto 185gr Z-Max ammo today. I is just repackaged Hornady Critical Defense .45acp 185gr FTX one of the 2 types of ammo I already load into my home defense and carry 1911s. The new box is pretty cool, which was why I bought it, maybe it'll be a collectors item some day. FTX on left Z-Max on the right.

The FTX (red) and Z-Max (green) are flex tips designed to deliver controlled expansion across a broad range of velocities, and to prevent the hollowpoint from picking up debris as it passes through heavy clothing. It also makes them safe to use in tubular magazines. I alternate them with XTP rounds from Hornady.
