HAVOC Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 I live in CT where a stock has to be pinned. If I buy an M&P 15-22, and can't shoulder it properly because the stock is in the incorrect position, can I remove the pin, adjust the stock to where I need it, and then re-pin the stock?
Microgunner Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I'd say that as long as this adjustment is done immediately and no one sees the stock in it's unpined configuration, then, no harm no foul.Keep in mind that during the few minute that the stock will be adjustable you will be in violation of the letter of the law.Caution and silence would be advised here.
edgecrusher Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 i live in mass and had to do it, and just to be sure, i locked my upper in the safe while i did it, in case of anything, i don't know why but it seemed like a good idea
HAVOC Posted February 24, 2012 Author Report Posted February 24, 2012 I bought a 1/8" roll pin and drilled a hole in the lower part of the stock close to the reciever so yo can't see it from the side like the factory stock.
