With the media it is the way of the world.  Nothing can be done about it to change it sadly.

The news media in this country is completely our of control. I don't want to do away with freedom of the press, as with all of our Bill of Rights I think it is important! However there has to be be conscientious for lying in articles and the retraction in the classifieds should count. Monetary fines for doing so!

Interestingly the "mainstream press" the old print media is justifiably dying.  With the current instantaneous TV media the ttuth actually comes out more often and quicker since each outlet is dying for the "scoop".

I believe we are getting more accurate coverage now due to the massive competition and the open and freely available access the intenet provides.  If on eoutlet covers up or lies the others are ready to jump all over the offender and point out the "truth".

Interestingly enough they are the handgun of choice by most armed citizens, that I see blowing away bad guys, almost daily on the local news in Houston.. :beer:
