New to the .22 world

Hello from California, new to this site and finally getting back in swing of things as far as firearms go, it's been quite a while. I pick up my first .22 tomorrow (lame 10 day waiting period here). I bought myself a Sig 522 and am really excited to take it out to the range and make swiss cheese out of some paper.

Glad I found this site, I'll be reading up on the forums...

BTW, any recommendations as far as ammo goes?

Welcome to T22.

By many accounts the SIG 522 appears to be a fine rifle.

Buy the best ammo you can. There's no substitute for quality on that point.

The SIG is designed to run on HV ammo and CCI Mini Mags are my all around favorite.

The sig522 is my first rifle too.

I shoot Federal value pack 525 count.

I have shot 2 boxes through my gun with zero problems.

If ur looking for extra mags, check out the blackdog magazine site. I got mine for $10 each.
