asmurff Posted September 21, 2013 Report Posted September 21, 2013 Off to do my requalification training for concealed carry. Four hours of classroom :vom: and two hour range time :grin:Never had to do this to drive a car, the far more dangerous item.
Microgunner Posted September 21, 2013 Report Posted September 21, 2013 No requalification required here in Florida. How often do you have to requalify?
asmurff Posted September 21, 2013 Author Report Posted September 21, 2013 You have to new your license every four years and that takes what I mentioned earlier, at the 2 year point you have do just the range which is 25 rounds per gun class (Semi-Auto or/and Revolver). We're working to dumb the 2 year range requirement. After that the plan is to get it down to the range time once ever four yearsThe initial training is 16 hours but you only have to do that once. The range part is easy, if you couldn't qualify you have no business carrying a gun. I'm not a great shot but have always scored 100% with both types of pistols.
techmike Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 Have to renew in Ohio, law changed and it is every 5 years now. Since I maintain my instructor credentials, I do not have to re-certify.
rodent.22 Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 here in old Virginia we go every 5 years, no redos- just send the bastards their money and the devil himself could renew a gun license.... ;D
