techmike Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Hey guys - I am mounting a scope on a 10-22 for a buddy, and I have never seen a 10-22 with this great looking walnut stock. Have any of you seen this? It also has a cap on the grip, with a Ruger emblem. The owner doesn't know, he inherited it. The metal appears to be standard 10-22 Carbine, no special markings. Thanks,TM Quote
asmurff Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 I would suspect it is an after-market stock, even with the Ruger embelm on the bottom of the grip. Quote
techmike Posted May 10, 2010 Author Report Posted May 10, 2010 Thanks Mr. Smurff - I hadn't considered that - I was leaning towards a special batch of 10-22's for some special event or group.TM Quote
asmurff Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 That is possible to, Ruger has made a lot of exclusives over the years. Quote
Sam 8 Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I would suspect the "Special Run" from Ruger. I can't recall ever seeing an aftermarket stock like that, but there are millions of them so who knows. Quote
Microgunner Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 It's an old factory model called the finger groove model w/beavertail monte carlo stock.http://www.collectorsfirearms.com/admin/product_details.php?itemID=8083 Quote
