Help with a 10-22 identification.

Hey guys - I am mounting a scope on a 10-22 for a buddy, and I have never seen a 10-22 with this great looking walnut stock. Have any of you seen this? It also has a cap on the grip, with a Ruger emblem. The owner doesn't know, he inherited it. The metal appears to be standard 10-22 Carbine, no special markings.

I would suspect it is an after-market stock, even with the Ruger embelm on the bottom of the grip.

Thanks Mr. Smurff - I hadn't considered that - I was leaning towards a special batch of 10-22's for some special event or group.

That is possible to, Ruger has made a lot of exclusives over the years.

I would suspect the "Special Run" from Ruger. I can't recall ever seeing an aftermarket stock like that, but there are millions of them so who knows.

It's an old factory model called the finger groove model w/beavertail monte carlo stock.
