This is what I run on one of my 10/22's - very nice scope for the price. I run the Sweet 17 on my Savage .17 HMR as well.

Roger that. I'll be making 2 trips to the DFW area in April actually.

The only uncomfortable front-strap checkering I have is on my Kimber Ten II double-stack 1911. It kind of chews up the supporting fingers a bit. You're right though, it seems you have to go with a custom shop model anymore to get front-strap checkering.

I love 1911's, and that e-series has caught my eye as well. I would get the rounded butt model, probably. But I'm also eye'ing that new Springfield Range Officer model. Congrats on your new pieces!!

What part of town will you be in?

I had the HK USP in .40, sold it for $450. $850 seems pricey, for used.

I can't find it anywhere on store shelves. I guess I will have to order some online.
