Received and installed the new BX-trigger today in my takedown 10/22. Dropped the trigger pull from 6.2# to 3#. with the Timney in my other 10/22 I get 1.75# trigger pull. Considering the BX cost 3 times less a good trade-off. Ruger however didn't add auto bolt release when the bolt is pulled back and let go. I think they missed the boat on it.

My son and hi wife have been fostering two kids a girl age 10 and a boy 3 for about a year and a half. Well last Friday they officially adopted them, so I have two new Grandkids.

I got to shoot it this last weekend, accurate right out of the box, but I've ordered the new BX trigger from Ruger for it, why they don't just put that trigger in all of them is beyond me. The only problem I had was inserting my Butler Creek mags into it. Easily fixed once home with a bit of emery cloth to remove some of the residue let from the hydro-dipping process.

Blow dryer, melts snowman.

The Timney triggers are great, I let you know about the new replacement Ruger is making by the end of next week.

A six pack and you have an evenings entertainment. >:D

This was extra funny to me, because we are occasionally out in the wilds of New Mexico, I carry a Taurus Judge, with +P loads, my wife carries her LC9 as she always does, so I tease her that while she pisses off the bear I'll be running.

I'd never seen one of those before. Difficult to control?

Better to trip them then there is no forensic evident. >:D

My intention besides shooting it often is for it to be the legacy my Grandson will get later on.

I'm going to splurge later today and buy a NRA version of the 10/22 takedown rifle.

Where to you get the boxes from?
-
TM that makes you a die hard shooter, and a little crazy ;D
-
TM is it a collectors item or just for fun.

How much does the ammo run?
-
So once I put the .223 die in place, put in the case all I have to do is line up the cutter unto the rim of the mouth. There is no need to adjust the amount of the trimming done it automatically brings it down to 1.750"?

I like the co-registered sights also, both our ARs are set up that way with Magpul's and Vortex Sparc red dots. Since my plinker is a 10/22 I stick a with scope which require no battery power for there to be a reticle or I can light if it is a really drab day.

I've made a couple of wooden ammo boxes, and am going to make more now that I've found a away to transfers graphics to them.

I have a Ruger Blackhawk break barrel which does the trick.

I've been reloading for a few years now, just for practice ammo and want to up my game. I'm satisfied the powder measure and scale I have now, so is my next step to one of the fancy digital machines or do I just need to add a powder trickler to get precise weights.
