I think I'll stick to my Spike's Tactical-15 with the CMMG conversion in it.

I've been breaking in the XDS and I like it. One notable thing is this pistol has one of the most easily felt trigger resets of any of my pistols. No failure to fire issues, slight failure to feed you must chamber from slide lock (recommended by Springfield) or insure you have the slide all the way back before you release it. I'm pretty sure this will work itself out with break in, the XD Compact my wife had was the same way originally, but chambers easily on racking the slide now. The XD pistols come with some very tough springs which has been true on all 3 of ours.

I found a better place to store them, on the top shelf on my wife's side of the closet. So you'll know it was me if you see a headline; Wife murders husband over closet space.

Attic isn't an option in New Mexico I'd bet right now my attic was at least 150° plus.

Do you keep all the cases your guns came in? Mine are starting to take up quite a bit of room, since none of mine are collector guns, I was thinking of getting rid of some of them.

These companies making convertible guns may be the best idea since sliced bread.

This a stage we are going to try for our monthly Tactical rimfire match this Saturday. We'll slow walk it first to make sure it is safe most of all. We'll also shot a NSSF Steel Challenge stage and a New Mexico Star stage. Same to all! I survived with weekend "Invasion of the Cookie Snatchers". Had my son and his family here, first time for Father's Day in a long time. I may have to sleep till Wednesday, but worth it.

We can only hope. I'm starting to see more of the pistol calibers on the shelves regularly except 9mm, most rifle calibers, even some 5.56.

Wednesday I picked up a Springfield XDS in .45acp, as a replacement to my 3.5" Citadel 1911. The XDS loaded 26.05 ounces. The Citadel 40.80ounces. The 14.75 ounces saved in weight will be much appreciated.

IWB holster and extended magazine for the Springfield XDS .45 I just bought.

My gun club does them occasionally, but have never been convenient for me to attend. I would really like to do it also.

Is it catch and release? A know a few people eat them, but I ain't one. Some lakes in the southwest want you to just kill them if you catch one. They do put up a decent fight though.

The spring problem here is wind, Fri-Tues we had winds with gust up to 60 mph. Our gun club is on the west mesa so the wind is always worse.

It is suppose to be 80° and no wind, I'ma going shootin' :grin:
