I went to the range today, to work on shooting my Browning Buckmark at 25 yards. I rarely practice at that distance with my other pistols which are self defense guns, with those I practice at 3, 7, & 10 yards, if I have 25 yards between me an an assailant I'll look for a exit instead. However, our Tactical Rimfire matches require more distance because we shoot at steel targets and we don't want riccochets coming back. So a practicing I go, didn't do to bad but I do need some work. Work is the wrong word, punching holes is never work when done with a rifle or pistol ;D Also shot my bow for about a half hour, definitely need more fun time on it. >:D

Good Tal raining semi-trailers is a bad thing.

All last week it was in the mid to upper 70s, Saturday-80 (the backs of my hand and wrist got slightly sunburned while shooting) & Sunday-81 (which broke a record). Then yesterday it only made it to 52 and started raining in the evening and did so off and on all night, about 3/4 of an inch which is a lot for here. This morning about 8 it started snowing and snowed hard for awhile we end up with close to an inch on the grass and dirt area, all of which is rapidly melting now since it is almost 50 . Suppose to be back to upper 60s tomorrow and 70s by Thursday.

They have gotten a lot of flak about it, do seem to slowly be finding more and more American made products. I hope they eventually make it all items.

There are parts of the southwest where a 2A or NRA decal will greatly increase the chances of your vehicle being broken into, so they can hopefully find a gun. I've also read stories of police subjecting people to extra harassment for having those decals on their vehicles.

 @ edgecrusher. It would be funnier if the sad facts weren't in black and white. Governmentneeds to stay out of the daily lives of people.

Have you all seen this article. Remington says it will leave New York if the micro-stamping bill in the NY legislature is passed. http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/remington-arms-company-threatens-pull-plant-york-response-bloomy-backed-gun-bill-article-1.1050781 Having lived in the next town over from Ilion, NY Remington leaving would cause it to become a ghost town. Remington has been there so long it is a part of the entire community. I wonder what amount of taxes Remington pays to the state of NY.

That sounds pretty cool. I have 3 questions. Will you have to modify the lower to use with this upper? How much does the 16" barrel increse the muzzle velocity.45acp round? Is it capable of shooting any type of .45 bullet?

asmurff replied to dakota mollohan's topic in Ruger 10-22 Mods and Upgrades
Before you change barrels decide what you want to use it for. I shoot Tactical rimfire matches and target barrels cause a fair amount off trouble in that type of fast paced competition, because they are pickier about ammo. I think first upgrade on a 10/22 shoud be to get rid of the factory trigger, Timmey and Volquartsen both make drop in replacemens for around $200 with the upgraded bolt catch mod already done. -
Glad to have you.

My only question is why wait till now to do it. Rodent I know what you say is correct, but Obama uses timing better than most andonly to his advantage.

There has got to be a reality check coming soon, or we're in big trouble.

:vom: The best I can do on all things related to Obama.

Anyone know of a good shotgun forum one including tactical and defense use? You know someplace like this where the posters are nice and willing to help.

Liquid nailed the top down today, decided to left the other 2 shelves loose, they aren't going anywhere and the weight of the things stored on them will hold them in place. About then I ran out of steam (sucks slowing down), and the liquid nail need to dry.
