  1. Knew I liked Smokey
  2. I went to the range as soon as I finished breakfast today, and left before 11 before the heat fried me. Shot: Citadel 1911 .45, Browning Buckmark, Ruger 10/22 and my AR with the conversion kit, happy to report all guns functioned perfectly. I've stayed longer but I couldn't use my umbrella to breezy.

    Congrat andhave a great day!
  4. Bear cage definitely!
  5. It just hit 100 here according to my thermometer. Heat Index is almost 110. I'm well prepared for the heat, other than checking the mail I have no reason to go outside the rest of the day. so I'm just going to sit in the A/C with my freezer full of pop and fudge sickles.
  6. apparently Elmo is not only ticklish.
  7. Holy Sheep Sh*t Batman.
  8. Well I guess the dog days of summer are here, all 3 of our dogs are laying in the darkest hall in the house, pretty much under an A/C vent.
  9. ;D
  10. No not yet, the club hopes to in the future. I have a patio umbrella with stand I take, it has an adjustable angle so I can get it to block the sun no matter what time I go. During the summer I often go as early as 7 to beat the heat.

  12. It is suppose to be around 100 degrees all week. So I guess it will be time to haul the big umbrella along with me to the range, plus my cool wrap. I'm hoping to get to the range a couple of times this week.
  13. The only problem with the kit was the 3 magazines had no witness holes for keeping track of how many rounds you have left. So I made my own, they may not be prefect but they work.

  15. I'm forwarding this to both my kids :thumb:
  16. Which cost more the pistol or the accessories? >:D
  17. Of the pistol :o
  18. Glad to have you!
  19. >:D For years I had a picture of a mouse flipping off a swooping eagle on my office wall, called the "Last Act of Defiance".
  20. I use a Browning Buckmark Camper with a fiber-optic front site. In the pistol portion Browning Buckmarks and the different Ruger Mks are the norm. One guy has a dedicate .22 1911 which I believe is made by STI.
  21. We had our Rimfire Match today, which is always lots of fun. The weather was even good to us, it had been mid-upper 90s all week and stayed in the upper 80s for today. I used my Spike's Tactical with the CMMG Evolution conversion kit for the entire rifle portion, it functioned flawlessly. Need to drill some witness holes in the magazines so I have an idea of how many rounds I have left. In the pistol portion I killed the hostage twice. I need to spent more time on pistol training. Times weren't bad until you add the penalties for killing the hostage.
  22. I shot the whole Tactical Rimfire match today with the conversion kit in my Spike's Tactical. Not a single malfunction and the times weren't the rifle or the kits fault.
  23. I've spent a good half hour looking for the plug, those suckers sure can travel.

  25. Here it depends on the range or club. My gun club has no restriction on them except for shooting at the gongs on the 300-600 ft range.
