We had our match today, we got bumped off of our normal Saturday because of the New Mexico Sporting Clay Championship. We had a good time with 9 shooters, 3 who were highschoolers or younger. Most common rifle today was the S&W 15-22 with 6 shooters using them, 2 Ruger 10/22s and one very tricked out Remington 597.

Sure is, the second incarnation, the first one the M3 wasn't as adjustable.

I got the M7 Holster I ordered last week today from a compay called Pacific Canvas & Leather. It appears very well made and an authentic reproduction. It will fit my Beretta 92FS, any of my 1911s and my Browning Buckmark Camper also.

I bought 333 to use in my Marlin 925R once, had to operate the bolt slowly to get it to feed reliably, plus lots of ftfs, never bought anymore.

CMMG Sierra .22lr flat top upper *Photos added*
asmurff replied to Microgunner's topic in AR-15,M16 .22LR Dedicated Uppers
I've been looking closely at these also, and from CMMG web site the hold open is an extra. -
Maybe I'm not understanding the question, but I'd think any bolt action .22 would do what you want. I have a Marlin .22LR bolt action I use when I start missing with a my competetion 10/22 because of lack of fundamentals to go back and work on those fundamentals. The process of working the bolt breaks the habit of spray and pray.

Sad to say we're having trouble with the LC9. It appears to me and I could be wrong, we're getting light or no firing pin strikes. Yesterday my wife's Dad and I took it to the range to try it out. First magazine of 7 no problems at all. Starting on the second mag it was every other or every third no fire. Tied 2 more mags same problem. Brought it home cleaned it throughly with brake cleaner and very lightly lube it. Took it out agian this morning it did it twice out of 25 rounds. I'd have liked to get in and cleaned the firing pin chamber/slot, but looking at the parts breakdown it appears you need to remove the rear site from it's beveled slot to do so, I don't have those type of tools. I think there is grit in there I just can't get at. I took it back to the gun store we use, because they are very good about taking care of things like this and have the tools to do that if necessary. The owner said he'd get with Ruger to see if they had any ideas or recalls and if it wasn't something he could fix easily he'd warranty the gun through them and replace it. Since this will be Hunny Bunny's primary concealed pistol I want to make doubly sure it is reliable. I trust S&S Weapons (our gun shop) and Ruger to make this right. Sure am glad I don't deal with big box stores on guns.

I went with my Hunny Bunny today while she got her Ruger LC9 for concealed carry. I like it and think it will be a better purse gun than the Kel Tec PF9 she was looking at. I think it will be a better shooting pistol also, it has more heft and is wider than the PF-9. The PF-9 is hardly any bigger than my P-3AT which is rough on the hand with .380. Hopefully we can get out one afternoon next week to shoot it.

I got my first hands-on look at the Tactical day before yesterday. I wouldn't classify it as cheap it feels solid. I think the nay sayers are those who are just against polymers period. I'd think it would be a great rifle if I can ever get my wife interested in our tactical rimfire matches, I'd have bought it except I hear an EOTech 512 calling me!

Before we consider if the .22 market has peaked maybe we should try to find out if .22 ammo sales have increased and by what margin?

Chiappa AR-15 .22lr upper
asmurff replied to Microgunner's topic in AR-15,M16 .22LR Conversion Units
I'd be interested in hearing feedback on these also. I also handled one of their 1911 .22 and it just seem like poor quality, so had avoided them. But their Rhino is getting very good reviews, so I'd take a second look at the upper. -

Obama To Unveil Gun Control Reforms In Near Future
asmurff replied to imschur's topic in General Talk
Obama I don't believe has the muscle and if everyone who owns as much as a BB gun yells he'll back down because he only wants votes.
