I've been working outside repairing an in-ground watering system and removing a couple of shrubs. Luckily all the work has been under the shade of big tree out front. I work for a couple of hours each morning before the temps start climbing, then do my inside stuff in the afternoon in the A/C.

The 100+ temps in AZ have followed us home, it is suppose to be between 100-103 here today. I don't think the roots to the shrubs I'm removing are going to get out of the ground today. >:(

I try to keep my politcial views out of this forum, but besides shooting one of my other passions is baseball. Well La Raza (spanish for "the race", I call them "La Racist") first tried to get this years All-Star game moved from Arizona, (because of AZ new immigration laws) they failed! SO!!! Now they are trying to get everyone one to vote strictly for an all Hispanic line-ups, which is wrong it is most definitely racist. So thos who may be fans or if you'd just like to put La Racist back in it's place please go to MLB.com and vote for an "All Star line-up you'd like to see based on talent and favorite players, hey they let you vote like 25 times. One of my concerns with this is it will backfire on La Racist and fans won't vote for deserving Hispanic players who may not get the chance they deserve to play in the "All Star Game" Hey if I've over ranted one of other moderators fill free to delete.

I went to Cabela's in Phoenix yesterday and looked very closely at a Pietta Model 1851 Confederate Navy .44 Caliber Revolver. But decided against it, since I've never fired black powder revolvers before, only a few flintlock rifles back when I still had hair. Is this something I should have a mentor for or can I safely teach myself?

I use a wireless Microsoft mouse and have never had any problems until my wife brought home her work computer which has a wireless Logitech mouse. No mine has issues; does nothing when clicked, doesn't follow movement, slow scrolling. She is having no problems with hers. Is there a way to deconflict the two mice?

I have a laser on my nightstand 1911 (Crimson Trace which is aligned right down the side of the slide so no problem. I also have one on my home defense shotgun which is set to be spot on at 21ft (the distance from my bedroom door to the entryway). Any other distance in the house the dot would definitely be within the pattern of the shotgun. I'm not sure how you'd go about setting up one for changing distances on a rifle.

I hate parts that try to go AWOL :auto: ??? I once had to track down an escaping spring, my wife found it finally in one of the other rooms. It fad to have riccochetted several times to make it into that room, there was no direct line from the table I was working at and the room door.

What a dilemma needing to spend more time with .22 rifles :grin:

Do you have a price range to stay in? You can easily spend a small fortune on high end barrels, triggers and stocks. Or you could start with a 10/22 Tactical which comes with a heavy target barrel and bi-pod longer range shooting is what you want. I'd also think the SR-22 would except any width barrel without modification, but I can't sweat to it. My ATI stock will not fit the target barrels without a fair amount of dremel work.
