  1. I assume lazing on the patio watching a babe in short shorts or bikini do yard work is an automatic exemption.
  2. I'm seroiusly considering adding this reflex sight to my Buckmark Camper I use in our Tactical Rimfire matches. My eyes just aren't as good as they once were. I think they were originally made by Sightmark butt have been rebranded Buckmark by Browning. Anyone every use one? I'm hoping since Browning sells them they have tested them for quality.
  3. Drat I think that was the last bit of my luck ::)
  4. Actually I didn't have to explain it to the insurance company, the car was illegally parked, so the accident was their fault.
  5. I'd only sand the upper part of the magazine on the outside area that fit into the magazine well.
  6. I've only ever used them in my bolt-action .22. I saw someplace they won't cycle most semi-autos.
  7. Hey I learned my lesson back in the 70s, I hit a parked car when I passed a young thing on the sidewalk in white hot-pants and an overloaded halter top. I guess the collison has premanently imprinted the vision on my mind for all time!!!! 8)
  8. I'd suggest going lightly over the magazines with emery paper, then wipe them off it rubbing alcohol before using.
  9. I was just at the grocery store and a teenage girl in short shorts cause a teenage boy pile up, when she bent over to get something off of a lower shelf. First boy walked into a shelf, second boy walked into him. >:D good to know somethings never change!
  10. I have a couple of more Hot Lip magazines to replace, I think I'll go with these, at least you can take them apart to clean.

    CCI stingers

    WalMart anywhere.
  12. I've not used one, but one of the guys I shoot Tactical Rimfire matches with uses one on his 10/22 and he does very well. I thought about getting one for my Browning Buckmark, but decided I didn't want to go down the optic road with any of my pistols.
  13. Now that stock would look good with a Tactical Solutions X-Ring Barrel!
  14. I shy away from discontinued anything after bad and expensive problems with a shotgun (Charles Daly) and a heating/cooling unit (Fedders) both items were discontinued right after I bought them, then both companies went under.
  15. At that price I'd go with something different. The Browning 1911-22 is only $150 more.
  16. Would you all knowingly buy a firearm that was being discontinued? I guess since GSG will still be around it would be okay. Anyone know why they're being discontinued?
  17. I've drank enough beer in my life, I ain't afraid of no chrome :o
  18. Here there are so many kinds I doubt any two of us wear the same ones. The ones I wear the most are Beretta made or endorsed, I got them with a coupon from when I bought my Beretta 92FS. They have amber tinted lens which seems to work well in the New Mexico sun. I'm happy as long as the wrap around to the side past the eye, I don't know if I'd ever bother to buy an expensive pair, unless I had to quit wearing contacts for some reason then would get prescription ones. I keep at least a pair of just plain inexpensive shop safety glasses (I bought these in Sam's Club 12 pairs for about $30) in each of my range bags. Our gun club requires them for anyone on or near the firing line. Since I am a certified Range Safety Officer and expected to enforce the club rules, it is easier for me to loan them one of the plain pairs than to have a hassle. I use the same Sam's glasses when reloading or working with my power tools.
  19. While things like this are always good for a laugh, the ingenuity of them is without doubt. :thumb:
  20. I have one you put in the barrel with rubber collet. I've only used it to zero in the laser on my home defense 12ga, and the Crimson Trace on my 1911. You have to be pretty forcefully brutal to do damage to the barrel, I'm always very careful around the crown. In both those cases I wanted the point of aim of the laser and gun to meet at a certain distance within the house. However as was mentioned I don't know about using it with a flash suppressor or muzzle break.
  21. Now that's funny I don't care who you are!
  22. I restrict my 10/22 activities to the range, plus I keep sweat pants (don't want bad guys to die laughing at my smurf boxers >:D) by the bed, along with a 1911A1 and a 12ga pump for things that go bump in the night.
