  1. Sending the slide from my Beretta 84fs to ToolTech for night sights. Trying to decide if I want to have some custom grips made for the same pistol..... LINK
  2. Depends on which one.
  3. I used a Troy 15" Alpha rail, got it from Texas Gun Depot. If you go that route, in addition to the rail, you will need a standard AR15 barrel nut. Replace the Colt/Umarex barrel nut with the standard AR barrel nut, and the rail bolts right up with included hardware.
  4. Welcome to Tac22. I put a Mad Dog TRX 11" battle rail on my Colt. Here is a LINK to my installation. (You will need Adobe Reader to view it.) You will probably need to remove the sight tower from the barrel shroud - I did & left mine off - had to fill in some ugly holes, but oh well. I have since put a 15" rail on my Colt, I like that a lot better. PIC
  5. It was the same way when the Colt M4/.22 came out - haters gonna hate. I like mine & would not willingly part with it.
  6. That's nice :thumb:
  7. Hopefully it will still be here.
  8. Yes, that ^. All I did was to change out the two springs, and mine no longer functioned as designed. Since there is a lengthy 'penalty' for ownership of such a malfunction, I decided to let a professional handle the trigger job on my Colt.
  9. Ah. There used to be a guy in Missouri that made custom muzzle breaks, I have one that screws directly onto the Colt. Only one in the world!
  10. Congrats!!!
  11. I got mine, it is very well made. Using a meter, I have determined that it develops just under 800 volts dc. I have yet to send any rodents flying. >:( The squirrels can't yet seem to get to the feeder due to the large diameter lid. They will sit on top & look confused. I may have to rig up a "hot seat" on top. >:D It has ni-cad batteries, and the instructions recommend recharging once a week. It is bitterly cold here, the batteries do not hold a charge for a week.
  12. Nice! Target and rifle :thumb:
  13. Just got one, it is charging up right now. Installation tomorrow. Flying squirrels soon after. ;D http://www.squirrelboss.com/
  14. Note to self: Don't go for a hike with MG.....
  15. What is the smallest caliber you trust to protect yourself? I remember one time while hiking with my girlfriend in northern Michigan, and out of nowhere came this huge brown bear charging us and was she mad! We must have been near one of her cubs. Anyway, if I had not had my little Beretta Jetfire I would not be here today! Just one shot to my girlfriend's kneecap was all it took.....the bear got her and I was able to escape by just walking away at a brisk pace. It's one of the best pistols in my collection... :thumb:

  17. It kinda was cold. But I forgot to show you all why I went out there - built this, or re-built it, over the Holidays, and just had to try it out. Old upper & lower, but with a 3.5 # CMC trigger, new chrome lined, mid-length heavy 1in7 barrel, new 15" UTG hand guard, micro gas block, new gas tube, new stock and scope. Same old fart shooting, but I am real happy with the results. It did real well with 55gn Tula ammo, even better with 62gn commercial reloads. Will be working up my own loads when it gets just a bit warmer outside.
  18. That. Is. Neat. I understand why you want one!!
  19. NRA version? Gotta link?

    Howdy

Hi Chris, Thanks for joining! Can't wait to see your finished project.
  21. I believe there is a valid reason that Umarex does not sell the 90 degree safety parts for a 180 degree rifle. The 180 degree safety lever and parts coincide with the 180 degree stops on the lower receiver. If you put the 90 degree parts into such a rifle, there would be the probability of damage to the safety's internal parts, due to being able to rotate the safety beyond 90 degrees. And one does not want to damage the safety on any firearm. Or, even if it does not cause damage, there could be unintended operational issues with such a parts mis-match - if the safety is rotated past 90 degrees, it might not fire, it might not be a semi-auto any more, or it might just slam fire & empty the magazine. Be safe!
  22. I am used to the 180 safety - it is more like an M-16 with it's 3 position safety: "No pew - Pew - and Pew pew pew"
  23. And it fits the Colt's threads ?
  24. Be careful with that - I originally changed out the springs in mine. It felt great, was about 3.5#. Unfortunately it was no longer a semi-auto........ :auto:
  25. That sounds cool :thumb:
