My knowledge is slim but i would think in the first case the mass of the 230 grain hardball would do the greatest damage. In the second the 6 .22's fired together would be equivlent to a 00 shotgun shell, and that ain't good. While not being the full number of 00 projectiles (9), six would be similar in effect. I have weapons in all three calibers and based on shooting experience this is what I'd say.T here's many others on here with more experience who will join in I'm sure. :beer:

Yeah I read that review- I believe it showed middle of the pack accuracy, but they felt obligated to comment about the Colt as though it had finished dead last. I thought it was an odd comment when I read it. The spread on all of them wasn't that drastic. 'Course I'm not a targetmeister..... :grin: The Colt barrel is a non-issue, really. This gun is a great plinker, but never intended to be a competition gun. WELCOME Wobblinwheel!

I see your point. I was scanned and patted my last trip. I have an artificial knee that sets all the whistles off. I honestly wasn't offended....If they want to scan me go for it. Everytime I enter a courthouse the same thing. Hands over head, pat down and hand detector scan of my whole body.

No the 22/45 Hunter has the Zytel frame with integral grip panels. The 22/45 replaceable panel model will accept any 1911 grip panels.
