Umerex/Colt m16 SPR butt stock
rodent.22 replied to ellie_18's topic in Colt Umarex Mods and Upgrades
The colt/umarex buffer tubes are proprietary, you would have to get a Walther m4 tube and install it, then the adjustable replacement stocks would work. The Colt/Umarex/Walther tube is NOT hollow on the reciever end, this being a blowback design. The tube end is solid, and is actually attached to the gun with a screw, the tube nut not actually holding the tube to the gun. -
The colt tube is Mil-Spec, the MOE Mil-Spec stock should work with it fine. A replacement tube will not attach to this rifle, only the Walther tube will fit the gun. It's not held on the reciever by the tube nut, there's a screw that actually holds it on. This is info I have researched over the last year, I don't have a MOE stock on mine.

Sweet Deal! As a fellow OPS owner Welcome!!! There are numerous mods posted here on the site that will interest you. Welcome again!

there's a spring and pin that has to be put back into place before the barrel will seat fully into place. By trying to draw everything back into place with the flash hider you have probably crushed the spring slightly when it was mashed between the barrel and reciever. All is not lost, CAREFULLY remove the flash hider and slide the barrel all the way out. You will see the tiny spring and pin, reshape the spring and restretch it slightly so it will maintain tension when the gun is reassembled. Now put the spring and pin in it's proper position( the hole) holding it down while the barrel slides into position. TechMike has a mod to do away with this spring....Ask me how I know how to do this....LOL

Well SORRY....

Okay! I think I got it. Isn't Facebook where you hook up with old friends from school, give a false address, false pictures of your kids and husband. Then lie about how rich and great your life is. Say nothing about your multiple prostitution arrests, the experimental genital herpes treatments and your sex offender registration? I believe I have it figured out....

I just ordered mine on e-bay. Midland wanted the $3.00 extra handling fee for an under $25.00 order. -

This might be an officer or agency only price.... -
The United States is an Open Market- No intervention unless by lawsuit. The Congress cares only about the generation of money, with their hands in it. If you have a copyrighted product, or a patented product its up to YOU to defend it. The people making the knockoffs and the courts are the ONLY people making money on infringments. Sad but true. What part of the economy that hasn't been sold out and shipped off is being STOLEN due to total inaction on the government's part. And it's not a Republican/Democrat thing- it's a total lack of regard for the country's interests by those put in place to do so....

I own the M4OPS and really like it. It is picky about the ammo it digests. Federal and Winchester do fine. It will probably require a break-in period of several hundred rounds, Walther cuts a match-sized chamber in these barrels and out of spec ammo ( read cheap) doesn't feed well. I can lay mine in a group of .223/556 AR's and it cannot be picked out by looks, weight or feel. The magazine is a dead giveaway, the 30 rounder really stands out. I also own the Smith & Wesson M&P 15/22 pistol, which has the identical upper and lowers as the rifle. So far it has been totally trouble free, and shoots ANY ammo I stuff in it. The polymer construction is very robust, all controls crisp. However it is not a complete lookalike as is the all- metal Colt. Grab ahold of both and buy the one that makes you smile....

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS look to the RIGHT SIDE..... obviously the computer FORGOT....

Hiya Glowin- I'm glad to see an OPS owner checking in. The initial production of the Colts were very finicky about the ammo they would digest. In fact some folks here returned the arms as defective. Most all the rest ran a brick or two of ammo thru them. This arm really smooths out and shoots very well after a break-in period of several hundred rounds. The magpul accessories do fit well. Many guys have installed the MOE stocks (milspec) and the front rails will accept just about anything you want to install. The magpul enhanced triggerguard (polymer) will fit. The handgrips will fit but the mounting holes must be slightly modified. A barrel thread adapter is available to allow installation of any standard AR compensator or flash hider. There are many modification threads here on the website, look them over. Congrats and keep us posted!

Welcome! I have the OPS and a S&W 15/22 pistol, I like them both. The MOE looks really great and the 416 looks interesting. Keep us posted on what you get!

yeah man it shoots well. It's obvious the screws have never been out of the gun in 82 years...The guy described the mechanical condition perfectly, but was a little optimistic on the blue. He said the blue was 75%, but it should have said 75% GONE..... Overall I'm happy, LOL One thing about this pistol is the cylinder is not recessed, the cartriges are fully exposed and are subject to being struck and accidently fired if dropped. In 1932 the back of the cylinder was recessed, putting more space between the cartriges and the hammer, making these pistols a little safer. Then even later they went to the transfer bar system...

No way in hell she could draw a bow back past THOSE orbs......
