Mike I'm a Ruger fan, I guess this is a 10/22 inside? It doesn't have the AR look to me, looks more Russian....LOL Being a Ruger I'm sure it will be a good shooter.
Tom Gaylord has an extensive review in the October 5th issue, 4 pages plus 16 photos. A well thought-out, thorough review, VERY positive for the Colt M4 .22 Carbine....
I chatted with DrewArtist again yesterday, at a Nebraska gun shop he frequents the first M&P .22 they sold a month ago had failed. He heard the news 3rd hand, from an employee of the shop. The guy stated there was no injury, but he didn't know exactly what had caused the failure. S&W has the gun back already....
hi everyone from central Virginia- I enjoy arms of all types. I live on 10 wooded acres here in the country and can step on my porch and shoot if I like....No range for me!LOL I'm 58, still working. Been married 38 years to the same girl. 2 grown kids, and 2 grandkids. Glad to be a member of the site and look forward to learning from you guys....
Hiya Solsud007- it looks like the dustcover latch could be backfiled slightly so the latch tab would engage a little deeper on the reciever, I'll try when Santa makes her delivery... ;D
Here in the woods the mould and pine tree pollen counts are astronomical. All of central Virginia turns yellow for 3 weeks or so, everyone prays for rain to wash it away...
I also subscribe to PerfectUnionBBS- on there DrewArtist a regular noted today that a friend's M&P .22 had a catastophic failure-no details. He said S&W refunded the full purchase price, shipping and all transfer fees...I'll post up if I get anymore info....NOTE: this is NOT an S&W bashing!
I gotta tell you guys, I like a board like this one with guys that are interested in discussion of arms and their experiences with them. The EXPERTS on a couple of other boards sometimes drown out what you are trying to get across with their ''not thought of here'' mentalities...I'm really glad this board is open.
