okay, okay, I'll behave.....since I've been married to the same lovely gal since Lincoln was president I'll tell you the secret to a long happy marriage- Gifts are wonderful, it will make her happy right THEN, but for long-term happiness let her know by your words and ACTIONS that SHE is the most important thing in your life. Bar none. A beautiful woman will stay with the ugliest or poorest guy in the world for better or worse if he will adhere to this simple fact. It has worked for me for 42 years. Congrats on your first 10 years!!! :thumb:

Dusty these conversion cylinders run about $300.00 on top of the cost of the gun. The loading channel has to be ground out and refinished, which is not hard to do if you work with metal and can visualise what needs to be done. Various gunsmiths will do it, Kirst's website lists one, and his work is superb. What you wind up with is a giant firearm, totally impractical for carry unless you really want to intimidate your fellow citizens.LOL However you can be assured you probably will NOT run into another pistol like it at any shootfest you attend. The fun factor is tremendous. The top pic is the Walker and the bottom is the Dragoon. Yes Drew I bought a new point and shoot camera, I'm only screwing up about 80% of my pics now.....

aww shucks. Picture this- Roseanne Barr with a Walker in each garter.... :vom:

Well I finished up my Walker Kirst Conversion this week. It is a match for my 1st Model Dragoon. Both now chambered in .45 Long Colt. They both use the same sized loading ring, so I only bought one, which saved me $175.00. LOL Both gun's frame loading channels were cut with a die grinder and hand finished. Cold blue worked great on the finishing end, no change in the frame finish is detectable. They both shoot really well and they can be switched back to black powder in seconds.

This pistol is a HOT item right now. I looked 3 days online for a new one that wasn't priced at full retail. Bud's had it listed as the Target Model, which it is, but normally called the Hunter. $659.00 retail, Bud's had it for $488.00, shipping included. I ordered it Sunday the 22nd and it was at my FFL Wednesday morning! This pistol was test fired at Ruger the 3rd of THIS month. Ruger is running full blast, all the major distributors are out of stock on everything except the polymer pistols. The pistol presents itself well, heft and balance is superb, as all Mark pistols are. The fluted bull barrel really sets this gun off, the sights have interchangeable colored inserts that I really like. The stainless frame matches the barrel well, the finish work and markings are clean. I wasn't sure I would care for the 1/2 checkered grips, but they look good and are very comfortable. Of course the shooting will hafta wait 'til title is transferred, but June will be here before long.LOL This pistol has the red eagle on both sides.

For what this sucker cost, the scope will hafta wait....
