What you guys may not realize is that trout is huge by CT trout standards. It was a large male brown trout. Probably an old breeder released into the river.

Yeah I mostly fish with medium to light spinning gear. If lake fishing for bass I will bring a baitcasting rig.

For those that like to keep track, the spinning rod is a 6' G Loomis GL2 and the spinning reel is a Team Daiwa Advantage 2500A. My baitcasting rig consists of a 6'6" Falcon low rider rod with a Shimano Curado 200E7 reel.
