imschur
Man it was a tough trip.I really liked the Bushmaster ACR, its very comfy. The Socom's were less appealing this outing. There was a S&W 1911 I liked except for the "DK" on the slide. There was a Les Baer that was machined nice, had all the right stuff except the finish was terrible for a $400 get let alone a $2000. Eventually I drilled it down to two Kimbers. There was a custom shop model that was exactly what I wanted for $2000 and a Tactical LE II for $1199. In the end I chose the Tactical as It was much different than anything I own and i figured I could spend the difference finishing these to projects I have going on here. There was several runners up but they lacked the correct checkering or any checkering at all.The store had some really cool 10/22's with anodized railed recievers, bull barrels and thumbhole stocks for $700. Bulk federal was $12!!!I noticed S&W has changed the model 41's a bit.lastly as I was leaving I noticed a stack of 32 H&R ammo. The lines were too long and I was too tired. i guess Ill have to go back ;D

imschur
So my main reason for getting this pistol was to utilize my Wilson Combat .22lr conversion. This Kimber is so nicely fitted and tight that i now dont want to run the .22 Kit on it.I think theres only one solution. I need another 1911
