xl_target
Good to see a forum for tactical .22's. I currently have a 10/22 that I bought new in 1984 for $99. I have put thousands of rounds through it with very few problems and no loss in accuracy. In the mid '80s Ruger went away from Walnut stocks which was a shame. I was going to add tactical mods to my 10/22 but now that we have actual AR replicas available, I think I will keep it stock as the wood on it is very nice.I'm looking for a M&P15-22. Haven't seen any in the stores around here yet. I enjoy squirrel hunting but in Minnesota it can get very cold in squirrel season. When its -20 on a frosty January morning, it can be a challenge to keep your gun running properly. The 10/22 runs in any weather so it will be interesting to see what the S&W .22 does when it gets that cold outside. It will also be interesting to see if the polymer holds up at those temperatures.
