imschur Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 I just got the word from the little woman. She's dragging me to a Hunting and Fishing Expo in Hartford CT. Now your probably thinking wow she's cool but here's the thing she is no hunting fan and will attack if provoked...Wish me luck
techmike Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Just tell her we require your safe return. Best of luck!
FS2KSTD Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Hope you both enjoy the Fishing Expo ... blinders around the Hunting part so there aren't any "incidents"! C:-)
imschur Posted February 21, 2011 Author Report Posted February 21, 2011 There was someone playing with a leg hold trap. I had to move quickly and intervene.
FS2KSTD Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 There was someone playing with a leg hold trap. I had to move quickly and intervene.I have to admit, I agree that trapping can be pretty cruel. Seems an unnecessarily "extended" way to go out.
imschur Posted February 21, 2011 Author Report Posted February 21, 2011 There were birds of prey there. One was a massive owl. The keeper said it's primary meal is opossums. The feet were as big as my hand. Awesome creature.Ill post pictures when I get them.
asmurff Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 We have owls here know for snagging small pets, Great Horned Owls I think.
Microgunner Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 I used to help Bill Barnhart run his trap line in Chistochina Alaska. He used leg hold traps and snares and I gotta say, I never did get uses to seeing it, especially when the animal was still alive.
