Where's the 10mm Handguns?

I was thinking I wouldnt mind having a 10mm handgun. I first checked out Glock but then decided to see what else was available. I was surprised to see there wasnt many offerings from the main stream manufacturers.

Is 10mm fading away? Has .40S&W won the battle?

I have neither, I go from 9mm to .45acp. I've been trying to keep the different calibers of guns to a minimum for cost savings. I looked a Gallery of Guns out of curiosity and it only came up with 29 10mm(6 Glock, rest European American Armory) as opposed to 157 in .40SW.

I should have took that path. I surfed site after site to end up with Glock, EAA and a few stray 1911's

How long have 10mm pistols been around? Has there ever been a standout pistol offered originally in 10mm?  I'm sure being associated with the Bren 10 didn't help it's acceptance.

The Colt Delta Elite comes to mind ... I still want one if I can find it in the right condition and price range.  :thumb:

I believe the 10mm earned an early reputation for shaking pistols to pieces and this may have a trickle down influence to this day.

I shot a S&W 1006 when it was released. That was a hefty pistol and you knew you just sent something hot down range. Accurate combo. I miss those Gen 3 smiths
