Ernie
Hi to all you tactical .22 nuts. I have bean monitoring this site for some time now and just need a little motivation to sign up. Well I got that motivation this past weekend after I attended a gun auction. A brief note on myself, I have bean shooting for a very long time and as of this past year acquired a Remington 597 vtr. I have bean very pleased with the performance with it. Making some scope changes till I found the 1 that looked right on it. Most of the brands of ammo I have used worked well cycling through no problems as yet. I have bean watching the forums and followed some of the advice given to others. Now for the reason I joined, at the gun auction I came across a Squire Bingham m16 .22. made in the early to mid 1980's is the best i can find out so far. Its main purpose was as a m16 training weapon for military and law enforcement. That is what I have found from there web site. It appears to be the first tactical .22 made. Has any one else seen heard or shot one? I can not wait to get it out and try it.

asmurff
Welcome Ernie. Looks like an interesting find. It looks like some of the older Armscor M1600-22, they had wooden stocks also.
Ernie
The web site goes direct to Armscor and yes it is the m1600 with the wood stock making a bit heavy around the 6.5lb mark.

Ernie
I have notice there was some other Canadian people on this forum. I am from Ont. What other province's are being represented. I did some rounds off and found the mag to be sticking a lot. When it fed properly it worked nice. Now to sight in and see the accuracy of this older .22lr.
