imschur Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 So we had crippling snow in October and since then not a flake. A lot of rain, that trend still continues. It has been incredibly mild with most days in the mid 40's and up. I dont ever remember a stretch from Thanksgiving to New Years this mild. Looks like next week we will see our coldest temps of the season so far. Still no snow in sight. So far so sign of last winters heavy snowfall trend repeating itself. Thankfully
Tal Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 I was expecting the worse when I was up your way, and was pleasantly surprised. Still had to walk my A$$ off, but after my 3rd trip to Arlington cemetary in 30 years, I finally made it to the top of the hill and toured Robert E Lee's mansion. It was worth it.. 8)
Microgunner Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 That reminds me, I need a new bottle of sun block. ;D
lmao_37 Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 We had 8 inches of snow for Christmas day which is the most snow I have seen in 7 years
imschur Posted January 5, 2012 Author Report Posted January 5, 2012 look at the 10 day forecast. This is crazy. Sure glad I didnt buy a snowmobile like I was considering.50 degrees Saturday, Im going shooting for sure.
Microgunner Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 Got down to to 22 degrees at my house this week. Brrrr.
asmurff Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 Crazy temperature swings in one day are the norm during the winter here. Week before Christmas it was in in the low to mid teens every morning, but often would make it into the 50s by late afternoon.
techmike Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 I love winter. The snow, the, ahhhh, did I mention the snow?
Microgunner Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Woo Hoo! I'll bet their nipples are hard enough to cut glass!
