techmike Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 At the state fairgrounds in OKC. This is always a big one, and looking forward to several hours of smelling gun oil. :thumb:
Microgunner Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 Remember to do your part for the economy. Buy big and buy often. ;D
techmike Posted May 19, 2012 Author Report Posted May 19, 2012 Had a rock sculpting class this morning - local studio owner puts it on for NCED students - working with alabaster. Was very interesting, and I have a chunk of Oklahoma rock to take home. Now for the gun show, just looking for odds & ends, maybe a new spotting scope, but I will try to drop a few $$ into the local economy. ;D
rodent.22 Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 I know 6 guys or so who would love new handguns..... >:D
techmike Posted May 20, 2012 Author Report Posted May 20, 2012 Heh. Sure, I'll deliver them very soon. :grin:Good gun show, especially if you want to buy a black rifle - prices from $650. Didn't see any spotting scopes, ended up with matching t-shirts for the Sweetie & I. Heading out west to the Cherokee Trading Post for one of their outstanding buffalo burgers, and some souvenir shopping for the family. On the way back planning to stop at H&H Gun Range, one can rent suppressed class III firearms for a test drive.
Longitude Zero Posted May 22, 2012 Report Posted May 22, 2012 If it is not the Wanamacher show in Tulsa I don't even waste time at the Fairgrounds shows anymore. Prices are too high and quality is too low. The rare deal is not worth the effort to search out. IMHO.
techmike Posted May 22, 2012 Author Report Posted May 22, 2012 I hear ya, but it is so superior to what passes for a show at home....
