Madhouse Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 Curious to know who among us is or was in the military or law enforcement... C:-)
Elessar Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 Me too, I was in the military and have been honorably discharged, but not retired, so I voted as civilian.
Madhouse Posted January 11, 2013 Author Report Posted January 11, 2013 Added veteran and allowed editing of votes.
Madhouse Posted January 11, 2013 Author Report Posted January 11, 2013 I gotta be honest, I didn't know there was a difference, I guess veteran means discharged and retired means you went the full 20 year ride?
asmurff Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 Since both are veterans, maybe it doesn't make much difference in the long run. Except I get a check every month whether I get out or not. It is funny because my wife is an Air Force veteran and she thinks it doesn't mean as much, but I've told her you made the commitment most don't.
edgecrusher Posted January 12, 2013 Report Posted January 12, 2013 C:-) maybe? Interview in two weeks for State Police, passed all written and physical tests, this is the last one
