Madhouse Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 Has anybody found a good how-to on barrel removal? My buddy and I are going to thread our barrels.
Madhouse Posted December 21, 2009 Author Report Posted December 21, 2009 I found a little information on one site where an aftermarket place had removed the barrel, supposedly it takes a special tool from S&W.
27 Beck Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Guys on another forum making their own barrel removal tool. Essentially a 1" tube with 4 prongs at 90 degrees each. These prongs are inserted into the barrel nut. Removing the barrel nut allows the barrel to come out. There is also a guy online making and selling a 15-22 barrel removal tool.
imschur Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Is this it? Google found it on photobucket.
imschur Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Ill bet there's a hook spanner wrench kind of like this that will work.
imschur Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Theres also automotive wrenches that work similarly. Maybe someone with access to a Matco or Snap on truck can get some inputThis image is a ball joint wrench.Amazon has more
