Microgunner Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 I usually buy 1-4 firearms per month but haven't bought one in about 4 months. I just can't seem to get interested in anything. I've tried, even firearms I thought I wanted that are finally available no longer intrigue me. Ho hum........
Microgunner Posted May 14, 2010 Author Report Posted May 14, 2010 After that Chiappa debacle I'm a little gun shy of unknown .22 cal 1911s. Besides, I already own a Colt Ace and Kimber Rimfire Target. I'm thinking maybe a Commander sized 1911 in 9mm. Hard to come by.
imschur Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 Thats awesome!!! Thats three options for the Marvell .22 Ruger has a .357 LCR now
Microgunner Posted May 14, 2010 Author Report Posted May 14, 2010 Yeah, it looks kinda handy. Unfortunately it also looks like a 5lb hemorrhoid on a warthog. >:D Plus I've fallen out of lust with Ruger products.
Microgunner Posted May 14, 2010 Author Report Posted May 14, 2010 I explored the Calicos. They just didn't pique my interest. I'm bogged down with the doldrums.
imschur Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 Steyr is offering a .338 Lapua. That would be interesting in the living room bullet trap
Microgunner Posted May 14, 2010 Author Report Posted May 14, 2010 Steyr is offering a .338 Lapua. That would be interesting in the living room bullet trap :laugh:Your bullet trap is definitely heavier duty than mine. That TI Gatling gun 10/22 set up though is interesting. I'd forgotten about those. And TI is a good company in my experience.
rodent.22 Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 you're suffering from ARB, it will pass. ARB= AGE RELATED BOREDOM. Any activity or interest you've engaged in becomes ho-hum. One day you'll get up and it will be gone.... :bang:
Madhouse Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Whatever it is that's wrong with you, you need to shake it off NOW and buy something or other. You've got between 4 and 16 guns' worth of lag to make up for!!
asmurff Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Are we going to have to do an intervention on you? >:D
Microgunner Posted May 15, 2010 Author Report Posted May 15, 2010 I think I might get interested in that ISSC MSR (SCAR). We'll see when they become available.
Microgunner Posted May 20, 2010 Author Report Posted May 20, 2010 I'm about ready to push the order button on a Springfield Armory XDm 9mm. I own the XD-40 with ports but find myself craving 9s the past few years. I may sell my Springfield EMP. I've kind of fallen out of love with it. It's too small. Hard to manipulate and full and commander sized 1911s in 9mm are rare as hen's teeth.
Microgunner Posted May 20, 2010 Author Report Posted May 20, 2010 Just ordered the XDm 9mm in olive drab w/SS slide. Woo Hoo. I'm back in the saddle.
Madhouse Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 Phew! :beer:I'm a big fan of the XD. I sold my XD-40, but only because I was getting out of the .40 caliber. I'd like another in 9mm or .45
Microgunner Posted May 20, 2010 Author Report Posted May 20, 2010 I also own a XD40 with ported barrel. I'm buying mostly 9s these days though. Old age...
Madhouse Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 I usually buy 1-4 firearms per month but haven't bought one in about 4 months. I just can't seem to get interested in anything. I've tried, even firearms I thought I wanted that are finally available no longer intrigue me. Ho hum........Man, I hear ya. I went to the show this morning with cash in hand and looked at thousandsof guns, couldn't find a single one that really called to me... :o
Microgunner Posted May 27, 2010 Author Report Posted May 27, 2010 XDm came in Monday. Today is my first day at work so I just received it. It's pretty. Trigger's good. Magazines damn near impossible to thumb load. Thank SA for the loading tool. Slide's not as easy to manipulate as the S&W M&P but will serve. No camera w/ usb cable in the showcase to use. Photos later.
Microgunner Posted June 4, 2010 Author Report Posted June 4, 2010 Sorry, no photos yet. I don't personally own a camera and we don't have one in the showcase. It's a very handsome piece that feels great in the hand. Only problem, racking the slide. The serrations are slick and the slide tapered making it difficult to manipulate. So, I just ordered a Burris Fastfire II for it. Not only is it an electronic sight but it doubles as an aid to racking the slide. Will post photos.
asmurff Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 My wife has an XD Compact in .45acp and it was very hard to rack the slide when it was brand new, but improved quickly.
