imschur Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 I warn people about Ciener but this guy is real unhappy. I have people tell me that they drove to the Ciener facilty and could see folks working and nobody would answer the door. You will also notice the big boys no longer carry his products now that there is other offerings.
rodent.22 Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 gee- this guy is one unhappy camper...
Microgunner Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 I've never checked into conversions. This is good info for when I do. Thanks.
imschur Posted May 29, 2010 Author Report Posted May 29, 2010 I have a page here dedicated to the subject
447MSGT Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 I havent read the listed page but when I first started researching a drop in kit I stumbled on several disgruntled folks in reference to Ciener. It seemed most that were unhappy had ordered them directly from them. I got a CMMG and have been relatively happy with it. Even bought a second mag for it the other day.
asmurff Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 There was one of thse for 1911s up for aution the other night at the dinner, my wife kept wisphering why don't you bid on it, actually the auctioneer pulled it because the bidding was to low.
imschur Posted October 4, 2010 Author Report Posted October 4, 2010 For 1911 buy the Marvel, for AR's I suggest Spikes or CMMG
Hoss Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 I can second the Spikes recommendation as I've been pretty happy with mine. With the right ammo (CCI blazer bulk, in my case), it's been darn reliable and accurate.
