Mr. Jones
I thought England had made it nearly impossible to own "black rifles" and similar weapons.I know it's a little off topic, but what are the regulations over there? Met some Brits here in TX that love shooting clays like no tomorrow, but they said they had to jump through hoops to own shotguns when they were in the UK. lmao_37
My former boss got a shotgun/rimfire licence while i worked with him he had to have a police back ground search to see if he had a criminal record and medical review to see if he had any signs of mental illness and an interview with the police also he had to have a burglar alarm fitted to his house and a a lockable gun safe and separate safe for the ammo in a hidden place like in a cupboard or fitted wardrobe and the police come and check your house and then it was left to a senor police for him to say yes or no and then i think he had to have a signed permission slip from the landowner to say he could shoot there and it had to meet the requirements like it was not near a road and other such junk all in all it took him about 6-12 months to get his licence and get his rifle n shotgun. pintofcarling
YER its a ball ache to get any firearm in the UK, I joined a gun club in Coventry took 6 months to get my licence, I have been shooting for about 7 years now, I own .44 Taurus magnum long 12" barrel due to UK laws, I reload my own rounds at a cost of £6.50 per 100 in the shop there £18.00 for 50. I also own a Remington wing-master 10 shot pump action shotgun, this shotgun can only be owned in the UK if your a member of gun club and you use it for comps and finally I own my .22 colt m4 and I love it

pintofcarling
Hi to the m4 god, you can own .22 in semi auto or single shot, anything else is single shot, no autos, no pistols, you can have long barrel revolvers up to .44 or black powder revolvers, and you can have any single shot then reload the rifle one lad in our club just got a straight pull AR15 5.56 at a cost of £1700.00 my .22 semi auto m4 colt cost £620 and its more fun
Mr. Jones
Really good looking rifle! I think the Colts are sharp, very true to their big sister's designs (AR-15 proper).I cannot imagine going through such a process to simply possess a firearm. Reminds me again not to take my firearms rights for granted. I can say this, wile I am not as crazed and fanatic as some gun control protesters, I am the kind of man that will take to the hills if my government tries to revoke or restrain our firearm rights much further. The Constitution allowed for the possession of firearms and the forming of militia to ensure that the American people could defend themselves, not only against their enemies, but against their own government. The same government that is slowly stripping the people of every constitutional right. We just had a 70 year old man arrested and charged for homicide (and may be elevated to capitol murder) after he shot and killed an intruder that had beaten him with a hammer and left him for dead while he robbed his home. And this is in Texas, where we arguably have the most lenient firearms regulations in the country. True, the old man shot the intruder in the back (of the head). Personally, I imagine it was hard to see well after the intruder had crushed one of the old man's temples/eye socket. I would have shot the thug in the groin.
