I believe I've seen plans online for making your own, if you have access to metal working equipment. Manfactured ones for .22 run in the $50-60 range.

I'm sure I've never been that drunk, maybe the guy who made the news this week with DWI who's blood came up 6.58.

Glad to have you :thumb:

If $300 is your ceiling then the Mossberg would fit the bill. I've only handled on in a store, so have know idea how well they shoot. I did think it would be a good starter rifle for my wife if I could get her interested in the Tactical Rimfire matches I shoot in. If you aren't set on it being tactical right off the bat, there are several .22 semi-automatics under $300 which can later be put in tactical style stocks.

Come on in but watch your wallet

Someone as dumb as the guy who came in shouldn't own a gun to start with. :o

I went out to the range right after I finished breakfast today, ending up staying for about 3-1/2 hours. It was still overcast and a nice breeze so it was prefect to stay for a while. Got home just in time for lunch. Tested some #4 Buckshot loads I'd reloaded, always nice to know they're good. Put a 100 rounds through my Spike's Tactical-15 testing out new PMAGs. Then switched and put 200 through it with the CMMG .22 Conversion. Both ways were flawless. I love that rifle.

I'm assuming that was down hill in a good way, although expensive.

I got 10 PMAGs from Brownells the other day, going to take them to the range tomorrow for a function test. I also just ordered more shotgun reloading components and accessories

One morning the wife came to breakfast, finding her husband sitting there crying. "What's wrong?" she asked. "We've been married twenty years now." her husband replied. "That's so sweet, honey!" "Do you remember when your dad caught us in the back seat of the car, and threatened to send me to jail if I didn't marry you?" the husband said weeping. "Why, yes I do." She said wistfully. "Well...I'd be getting out tomorrow!"

Check out this article at "My Gun Culture" it is the best satire I've read in a long while. http://mygunculture.com/2012/08/10/a-brief-history-of-ammunition/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+MyGunCulture+%28My+Gun+Culture%29

I don't know about auto design but I do know a lot of structural engineer and architect programs now require internships with construction companyies, so they understand their designs from the point of view of those who have to build it.

I don't know if I hate it worse when it gets all lump together like your week, or when it is spread out over time. Hope all goes better.

Quick response, did he get the evil eye :o

Did you know the program Imschur recommended for checking spelling will not except Obama as a word to add to the dictionary. Then again clicking ignore on Obama seems natural! >:D

Ah come on a .22 version to show up at my monthly Tactical Rimfire match would be hilarious.

I was reading you post and thought MG lives in FL, I-75 runs through Cincinnati also and the ring road is I-275, Quit search solved the puzzle it is the same for Tampa. I spent my formative years in Cincinnati.

The news media in this country is completely our of control. I don't want to do away with freedom of the press, as with all of our Bill of Rights I think it is important! However there has to be be conscientious for lying in articles and the retraction in the classifieds should count. Monetary fines for doing so!

Sounds like a fun project.
