I put Gen I rear on the Spike's. I'm going to leave it at that for a while, and take some time to work on shooting with open or iron sights which I haven't ben doing with rifles.

Well the mod is causing problems, so off with it's :o head. I'm just going to place it with the new one.

I called Ruger Monday to get a part for my 10/22, that I messed up fooling with it. They sent it for free and I got it today.

Actually those are the handguards I want, just hadn't decided if I was going to stay with black or go with the flat earth. I did manage to get in a real quick range run this afternoon and put one magazine thru it with no problems. Will have to do something about the shoulder pad it is a bit rough.

Well the upper finally got here today :grin: All I've added is a Magpul rear sight, but there will be more to come.

She isn't a member of Tactical .22, and doesn't do much in the way of forums. She is a shooter though and has a XD .45 Springfield in the compact size. However because of how hard and uneven the ground is at our gun club she hasn't been able to go much as it ended up causing pain. So after the hip surgery she should be go to go with our Tactical Rimfire, but I think 3-gun will still be out :o

I live in Rio Rancho NM just north of Albuquerque. To the east I have Sandia Mt and the Manzano Mts. To the northwest are the Jemez Mts, and West is Mt Taylor.

We had a weird system blow thru here today it was in the low 50s this morning when I was out but the wind was coming right off the mountains and their snow.

My wife is having hip replacement surgery the 25th of April afterwards hopefully she'll be able to join me in the .22 shooting and do more shooting in general.

I roto-tilled our veggie garden area this morning in a biting cold wind, which about did me in. So now I'm going to kick back and drink Corona the rest of the day. My wife says she is going to plant this weekend, I'll believe it when I see it!

Since out of the 20 to 30 knives I own at least half are folders, of those only one isn't a lock blade and that is the old Hammer pocket knife that was my Grandfathers.

The Road Blockers are wicked, but I know I can't handle a shotgun without a shoulder stock. Actually I perfer a shoulder stock with pistol grip to spread out the recoil as much as possible.

I bought a Mossberg 500 with a 18.5" Security Barrel and a 28" Field barrel today. $311 with taxes. I got it because it will allow me to try my hand at sporting clays, plus give me a backup to my 18.5" Charles daly which I'm not sure how far I trust.

I'm not sure it is doing what it is suppose to do, but it is still working. The link over simplifies the modifications. It does appear to make it easier to get the bolt to unlock. I'm going to order a back-up bolt lock tomorrow, just because I'm a bit unsure. I'll have to go shoot it to make sure all is kosher I guess.

I do believe I'll do the modification to the bolt stop on my 10/22 today. To windy to do much of anything else.
