Did a hitch, but not retired....

Permission granted. (Old ex-USN fart here) Welcome aboard, and glad to have ya!

Cool. I think it will work well for your Colt. You have the right size rings?
-
It is in the very front of my gun safe, and get's more range time than all the rest. Arguably my favorite shooter. I am not fond of the recommended cleaning procedure, I think it is very inadequate, and the spring that makes the bolt stay open after the last round is prone to loss and/or damage - if you take the rifle apart to do a thorough cleaning. Other than that, it has been a gem.

Air Soft rail install on Colt M4

That will be cool - looking forward to seeing your next creation! You do good work!!! :thumb: -
Howdy, I have the Colt, live in Toledo and shoot at Southern Michigan Sportsmans Club in Temperance. Welcome to the club!

Those are great shooters!

Hi Garry, and welcome! We will want a picture when you pick up your shooter...

OK, But I would not count on the duct tape to be a long-term solution. The adhesive on all duct tape will migrate out the edges eventually... If you are interested I can point you towards higher quality tape.

No problem Buddy, good shooting!

Well, the higher priced rings - solid and very strong - are basically for center fire rifles and their robust recoil, which you do not need for a .22. First thing that you have to do is determine the tube size. Probably 1" or 30 mm, but you will have to know before ordering rings. Rings will have options when you order, first is tube size, then rail type, height - low medium or high - which means how far up from the barrel you want the scope to be. Then there are other options, a pair of rings, or a one piece scope mount, or a cantilever style mount. And don't forget the tacticool factor.... HERE are some that would work well on the Colt 22, and won't break the bank. (FYI - the mounts with a single ring are for red dot type optics - you will need a mount with two for a scope) If you do not have a caliper to measure the tube diameter, take the scope to your local gunsmith and they will tell you what the OD is. Oops - just looked at your scope link - that is a pistol scope, so it will have to be mounted well forward on your rifle, but the above still applies. The ad says it is a 1" tube.

Killer prices. Heh.

Ohhh. Want. ;D Yeah, know what you mean. Some one is trying to sell a KelTek .223 on an Ohio website for $1200+.

Welcome to Tac 22. I do not have the H&K, but my Colt M4 had the same issue. I used a self-adhesive teflon tape - sticky on one side, black & smooth on the other side, - it is about .020" thick. I stacked a few pieces of that inside the stock, at 0900, 1200 & 1500, and my after market AR stock works fine with no slop.

Kudos! Very well written, and thanks for sharing. :thumb:

Berry's bullets in 9 & .380, a 5.56 rifle kit from Model 1, and some .223 from here and there. Just received my two new AR receivers. Oh, and 10 AR mags from PSA. Got them ordered before the run, they were only $9.99 ea. Still looking for a set of triangular handguards - my Sweetie wants hers in as close to an A2 version as possible, but with the Vietnam era guards. And she wants a "Zombie Hunter" dust cover. ;D I love that woman!

Oh man. You missed it. The site gave away 3 guns, your name was drawn, but you weren't here. Sorry >:D

Excellent. :thumb:

It's Started, Cost of High Capacity Mags have nearly doubled
techmike replied to jnsampson's topic in General Talk
I got an order in for 10-30 rounders, aluminum ones, for 9.99 ea (on sale) just before the crap hit the air movement device. Normally, I only buy Tapco mags, but I could only back order 2 at a time. Ammo seems to be coming back in stock - just ordered 1k of Wolf.223 from AmmoMan. He was out of stock yesterday. Now to see how soon CCI can restock small pistol and rifle primers..... -
Sorry Doug - it's all gone........
