Adjustable stock sloppiness repair
techmike replied to rodent.22's topic in Colt Umarex Mods and Upgrades
I don't know - my original stock was sloppy, and the ATI stock I bought was also loose. Seems like a design problem to me.........the "buffer tube" could have been made a bit larger imo. TM -
Adjustable stock sloppiness repair
techmike replied to rodent.22's topic in Colt Umarex Mods and Upgrades
Hey Rodent - Excellent presentation and fix for that problem. One has to wonder what they were thinking to make it that sloppy! I had some self adhesive teflon that was about .020" thick - I stacked some of that up inside the stock and that did the trick for me. - Thanks! :thumb: TM -
Hate to sound cluless, but, HUH???

Got a scope mount for my M1 Garand, custom walnut grips for my CZ-82. And picking up a Ruger LCP later today!!!! Looks like we were all on Santa's good list! TM

Hey FS2KSTD - Yeppers, the Crimson Trace laser - thanks for the positive info! Picking up the LCP Wednesday, will post pics / range rpt as it becomes available. How did we ever git to mice and .45s on this thread? Nice video and a great tactical pointer for close-in work.TM

I got to fire one last fall - not bad at all!

The laser sells for $167 at TalonTrainingGroup.com. Still thinking it's a good idea. ;D

My smallest carry gun is a NAA Guardian - .32 acp. Nice little summer pocket gun, and fits nicely in the old tackle box. Have been looking for a LCP, guy made me an offer of a used one, with the laser, two mags and a box of ammo for $400. Thinking it is a good deal. TM

Home with the family, then to Mother-in-laws Saturday. Since she lives out in the farming country, I usually get to exercise my trigger finger. TM Merry Christmas ya'll! PS - Check THIS out. Make sure to "grab" it with the mouse & give it a shake!

None with mine - working fine. TM

Hmmmm. And here I am on another topic thinking about buying this pistol from you??? Actually, it has very good reviews from gunblast.com And what is wrong with Dayton??? :confused:TM

I received one of THESE in the past, and they were all good, IMO, bison was the best. TM

Never had elk, REALLY like bison steak... Have to cook it different than cow steak, sear it real quick on a very hot fire, then cook it slow over a much cooler fire. Outstanding. No, wait, I have had elk. It's OK, not on my top 10 list though. TM

Exactly!!!!! :thumb:

All of my "away" stuff is done and shipped. Mostly done with everything else. But I like going to the mall on Christmas eve and watching all the last minute people. :beer:TM

Maybe, I have to check out the cost of the transfer via FFL. What would the shipping be to a FFL Zip code 43560? Thanks, TM

I don't know about using reamers to clean the primer pockets guys. If you happen to remove too much metal, the primers won't stay seated correctly. I use this to clean the primer pockets - note the different size brushes for large & small pockets. The same tips fit onto my motorized gizmo for large batches. The only time I use a reamer is on military brass - the primers on mil brass is crimped, and the primer pockets have to be swaged or reamed in order to accept a new primer. RCBS has a nice step by step guide here, but they do not mention pocket primers.... go figure. TM

Oh My. What a burden you have. Please let us know how it works out for you! Heh, TM
-
Hey Micro - do you still have this?
-
This stuff is neat - it has no gunpowder. It has a 20 grain bullet, and uses the primer to power it at about 550 fps. Using a Marlin bolt action rifle, it is nearly soundless - I can actually hear the click of the firing pin striking the cartridge. Then just a little phffuttt. It is great stuff for annoying the back yard squirrels. It cannot be used in a semi-auto. It is fun for an indoor range in the garage - works great in .22 revolvers - just louder than in a rifle. :thumb: :thumb: TM

Yes - clean, then de-prime. I have a RCBS motorized gadget that sits on the bench. It has 5 power takeoffs, you can attach a number of brushes, primer pocket reamers, cutters to de-burr the neck inside & out - makes life easier if you are going to reload a lot. TM
