  1. Just ordered mine - now to find some fun stuff for the bang end of the M4! ;D TM
  2. Hey Cyclone - HERE is a good article on the new batch of small .380s. It was from the last issue of the American Rifleman, your TCP 738 is reviewed. I also like Taurus; my Sweetie has a .357, I have a MilPro PT138 and a Judge. I would like to fire one of the recoil operated .380s - wonder how much less recoil there is compared to the blow-back models... TM
  3. No problems so far - just have to make sure to follow the instructions carefully, and make sure your measurements are accurate. It is a two part epoxy paint. This is my first dura-coat project - a CZ-82. TM
  4. Want more info? Just google "grab a granny night". :o

    Fishing?

If work was not required, fishing would be my life. When I lived in California, my buddy and I drove up to Loon Lake, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loon_Lake_%28California%29(Sierra Nevada), and then rode horse up to the Desolation Wilderness for a week. The lakes up there are stocked by plane - the CFAG bombs the lakes with trout! Lake Shasta is a wonderful place to fish year round. Now living in Ohio - lots of lake fishing, some ponds and of course rivers. Really got into a mess of Crappie last summer - still dragging them out of the freezer. Sigh. NOT into ice fishing. Waiting for the thaw! TM
  6. I have a HP digital that works - "ok" - miss the view finder - darn lcd screen blanks out in sunlight! A buddy at work got a DSLR that is so fast it can freeze frame a humming bird. So he says. But I do like not having film. And flash bulbs. Or flash cubes. TM
  7. Welcome - I live in Ohio, was born in San Angelo. TM
  8. That is one nice range. Like that camera too!!!
  9. Thanks Drew! Really enjoy the place!! :thumb: TM
  10. Never knew that - thanks for the info. I do have a Tim Allen hammer - the "tool guy"... TM
  11. Oh yeah! Been there / done that!!!!!! Now live in Ohio. TM
  12. I use straight 100% copper wire. A nice, good solid electrical connection to the metal bird feeder, and an electric fence transformer at the other end with a handy switch makes for so much winter fun with the squirrels! TM :thumb:
  13. Glad you enjoyed them. Have a bunch more - but these are close-ups and action shots of ship mates. These guys look like pirates! Wish I knew who they were. Will post a few of them - they are amazing pics. TM
  14. And some more - Grandpa was an Electricians mate aboard the Doyen.
  15. Here are some o l d pictures!
  16. Sweet! FYI - I have had real good luck with BVAC ammo - usually available from Cheaper than dirt. Although the Federal Bulk works well in my Colt too. TM
  17. Thanks you for your Service. Welcome! TM
  18. OK Mr. Smurf - I will get some of my Grandpa's pics scanned, and start a new thread! TM
  19. It's not funny! I was stalked in the parking lot!!!!! ;D TM
  20. I really like Dura-Coat. It is rated for stainless, I use an air brush, and have not been disappointed. I air cure it, after two weeks it is bullet proof! http://www.duracoat-firearm-finishes.com/ TM
  21. Good info - I like the "sight-in" targets that have big X-Y lines - helps to insure level reticles. TM
  22. I have an old Ford wrench from my Grandpa - but is doesn't have much monetary value, as the ball on the other end is missing. Still have a nice collection of Grandpa's tools. Including a one-at-a-time .50 cal bullet mold. Also have his "Cruise Book" from when he was in the Navy - pre WW2. The pictures in there are amazing. Pearl Harbor b-4 hotels, all the battleships before they were sunk. If anyone is interested, I could scan & post some. TM
  23. I have never purchased any. Worked on a .22 for a friend, and he supplied 100 rnds of match ammo for testing purposes. Don't remember the brand. Tested 5 or 6 brands of ammo thru that rifle, and the match was marginally better than the rest. Not worth the extra $$ IMO. But thru an Anschutz or similar, might make a difference. TM
  24. I spent 3 weeks in Danbury, at the Holiday Inn. Was there for Pitney Bowes factory training. Every Wednesday - at the Holiday Inn Bar - "Grab-a-Granny" night. 50, 60, 70 year old single women in mini skirts and fishnet stockings cruising for breathing men. :o very scary! TM PS - No, I did not partake>
  25. There was one in Danbury Jan 9 & 10. No others listed........
