  1. I used to own a Colt M4 OPS and enjoyed it very much. It looks the part and shoots pretty good. I would still own the Colt had I not found the CMMG. If I were in your situation I'd be very pleased to own and shoot the Colt. A fine rifle. :thumb:
  2. Not sure about the MK-4, but the CMMG Quebec 22lr complete rifle is selling for about $500 US.
  3. That sucks.
  4. If the same were true here I'd gladly have paid $1435 for a CMMG rimfire. Thankfully though, they're far more affordable here in the US.
  5. In Canada it appears the parents are only responsible for the care and feeding of the children. The State is responsible for the education, beliefs and values of the children. That was Hitler's philosophy too, wasn't it?
  6. Glad to meet you. We'll be wanting to hear all about the fun you'll be having with that new 22.
  7. Outstanding! I too passed my Colt M4 OPS along in favor of a CMMG and have been very satisfied with the change. Your rifle looks great and we'd like more photos and to hear more about it. OMG!
  8. mcheath Check out the CMMG Quebec before purchasing. About the same price as the Colt but a real AR through and through.
  9. That sounds like it's going to make a fine CQB carbine.
  10. Of all the 700s I've owned and shot and all the 700s my friends and family have owned and shot, and that number is substantial, I've yet to witness or experience or even hear of a defective rifle accidental discharge. NBC will throw anyone under the bus for ratings. Most of the rifles experiencing these discharges have had their triggers "tuned" by someone, especially the military, or have been neglected to the point of extreme internal corrosion in the trigger.
  11. That was a hell of a side job.
  12. WooHoo! Payday! the whores and saloons better be on the look out tonight. ;D
  13. No time like the present.
  14. Pleased to meet you.
  15. You know, anytime I'm feeling obsessed and out of control I just read your posts and I instantly realize I'm pretty well grounded. If we ever start a 12 step gunaholic program you're a shoe in for president. ;D Congratulations on the new acquisitions.
  16. All right! Photos of cans and hosts will be appreciated.
  17. Yeah, just when was it that the Socialist States of New England seceded from the Union? ;D
  18. said the little 5yo boy after laying his 94 cents on the counter a few minutes ago. Damn he was cute. His Momma is taking him to Wally World for an age appropriate sidearm.
  19. The Timney is available to me wholesale so I may go that route. I've owned other Timney products and have never been disappointed. Thanks.
  20. I dunno. I've owned some firearms for years and have yet to fire them. I'll get around to it someday.
  21. This is such a handsome, nicely fitted and finished 1911-22. Certainly a major leap ahead of the current crop of Zamak 1911-22s on the market. It's all steel so the slide is open top for weight reduction/reliability, with a rather large bull barrel to fill in the gap. The trigger has just the tiniest amount of creep (hardly noticeable) and breaks crisply at about 3.5lbs with almost zero over travel. It fits the hand like a 1911 should, since the frame is a standard 1911-A1 centerfire frame and can be converted to centerfire. The sights are a bit skimpy though, no where near as nice as those that came on my RIA .22TCM. So far I'm very impressed.
  22. I really like this rifle with the exception of the trigger. It's OK I guess, but I want better. I want to use a drop in trigger but I don't know shit from shinola. Suggestions?
  23. That definitely looks like it'll do the job. :thumb:
  24. Thanks for the tip. I haven't fired mine enough to notice a problem.
