  1. I sure hope both come to fruition.
  2. If you like that configuration better, you can change to your hearts content.
  3. I would not call it a systemic defect in EVERY weapon they made. Many of the early versions function well and have never had any troubles. Some have and S&W was very helpful in repairing and returning the problematic weapons. If the OOB problem effected the majority of weapons I would also say a recall was needed but historically that is NOT what has happened. I have 2 15-22's one early and one brand new. Neither has had the problem. The older one is just as realiable and safe as the new one.
  4. imschur that is the exact same one I have on my S&W 15-22. I really like it.
  5. Electronics are basically worthless to a pawn shop after they are aobut 3-5 years. I have seen 3 year old Bose, that are the top of the line for $125 a pair. Depreciation is the pawn shops best friend.
  6. They need to loose a lot of their pride to get the price to a realistic level to interest me.
  7. That interesting since the college sports teams here in OK when they travel they generally charter American Airlines aricraft. There buses drive onto the tarmac and the coaches and players board directly and never go thru security. I have never liked that idea at all, but it is how they work it.
  8. Profile away. The Israeli's do and when was the last time one of El Al's planes was hijacked...
  9. Lawyers I know have advised that as soon as the search is finished leave the area and request to report a sexual assault to the airport PD. Demand a report and do not give up until you get one. List the TSA agent by name as the suspect. The DA in my jurisdiction is a good friend and he is ready to charge a TSA goon if they step across the line. At my home airport last week I witnessed a teenaged girl being escorted to the "back room" and her parents were NOT allowed to accompany here. WTF??? bdavision I am curious about your experience with TSA on the private side. A neighbors company owns a Lear 45 and I frequently fly with them and they have NEVER had any TSA contact at all.
  10. I would have NO difficulty being his executioneer and I would use a 44 Magnum.
  11. ISSC and Glock have reached some agreemement on the lawsuit. ISSC is going to redesign the appearence of the weapon and reintroduce it to the market.
  12. http://www.issc-austria.com/ Anybody familiar or seen/fired one of these?
  13. Probably an anti-shoplifter procedure.
  14. EMS Paramedic 1978-Present. LEO 1983-Present. Present Rank LT.
  15. Killbreaux I am glad you have had great luck. I have owned two and sold them quickly, I have had access to three others and all 5 were to put it mildly, JUNK. They were NOT simple slide on to Colt frames, modifications were necessary. Cieners customer service is nonexistent. They did not return calls, letters and emails. I have no use for them and their products. I know others have had good service but my experience says stay away. Brownells is a reputable company and their dropping the Ciener products tells me all I need to know.
  16. Yes it will fit but just because it fits does not mean it is a good idea. The last thing we need is folks running afoul of the law and giving the anti's any ammunition to use agaisnt us.
  17. Man, that sucks. Praying for better shooting days ahead for ya.
  18. I hope they can get some positive press out of it. Recently they have taken hits about who they support. People need to realize the NRA is a single focus group. So if a politician supports gun rights the NRA does not give a crap that the same politician voted to support Obamacare. They will support that politician. So like it or not it is what it is and lay off the NRA when they support a politician that also supports causes you or I dislike. It really sticks in my craw when a politicain that is positive on guns rights and is supported by the NRA is savaged by some doofus because the same politician supports another cause the citizen does not like.
  19. Hoss the key word in your statement is "business" outside of business mobody and no court can tell me I have to associate with anybody. Discrimination claims generally are based upon factors you cannot change, race, sex, national origin etc. Sadly I see this either biend given the short shrift or dismissed summarily. For instance Pay Pal does not allow any transactions that involved firearms/ammo etc. NOBODY will ever successfully sue and collect from them for that. It sucks but the gun/ammo grabbers are getting sneaky and creative in their actions. They know they cannot directly go after the guns themselves so they hit us in the flanks where we have NO Constitutional protection. Never forget the Second Amendment applies to firearms. Ammo is not mentioned and not protected no matter who or what says different.
  20. Unfortunately this is not the first time I have heard about companies discriminating against companies in the F/A industry. Sadly I see this trend continuing and possible accelerating. I am no lawyer but I do not see how a company can be forced to do business with companies in an industry they do not want to. Like in the First Amendment I have the the right of Freedom of Association. The reverse is also true I have the freedom to NOT associate. Waiting and praying. We all must get out and vote. The party in charge of the Senate and the House could change with enough votes that way.
  21. How true. The firms that added staff are not having to let them go. The firms that simply gutted it out and did not add staff are still for the most part thriving. As to the ammo situation I am still angry.
  22. Believe it or not calls like that are far more common than most folks think.
  23. Yuppa.
  24. When it comes to FOF training my department is about 2/3 Simunitions and 1/3 Airsoft. Both are excellent training. The sting of the sim or the pellet is a good teacher, especially cover vs concealment. There are numerous airsoft pistols and rifles that can be accessorized just like their bullet firing counterparts. Go for it. Unless you are doing FOF you are not training correctly. Shooting paper is blase for intelligent/competent training.
  25. Feeling better now about that. I have read several reviews that said it was cheap and plasticy and not reliable.
