spectacular firearms collection at VMI Museum

Me & the bride stayed in Lexington, Va this weekend for our 40th anniversary. I saw a sign at the visitors center about the VMI Museum firearms display, donated by an alumni of the school. It is one of the largest collections of cased Patterson Colts in the country. Numerous cased Revolving rifles are also in the collection. This is WORTH seeing if you are within travelling distance. Now all we need is for more training for my wife in DC, I'd drive that far to look a VMI and their collection.

yeah Smurff it's an hour and a half south of D.C. on I-81 in Lexington, Va. Well between the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody, Wy and this VMI museum, the NRA museum near D.C. is next. I've seen so many great and unique firearms in the last year my head is still spinning....LOL :o

Excellent museum.  If you are ever out here in the Sooner Nation (OK) make a trip to the largest private firearms museum in the world in Claremore OK.  The J.M. Davis Museum.
