Opinions on the use of foregrips

What do you guys think about the use of foregrips?  I have never used one.

Some love them and some hate them.  On my tactical weapons I use them.  Now on my deer rifles nope.

I have them on my 10/22 I use in Tactical Rimfire Matches and my ST-15 from Spikes. They are identical Magpul http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=2319118741.

This grip works for me because I have arthritis in my wrist and it allows me to shoot without bending or twisting my wrist at all.

I have wrist issues and they are a blessing

Brownells has many to choose from. It's a nice high value but inexpensive upgrade

I have tried the vertical ones, and the angled fore grip, neither was good for me. I now have THIS on my AR, and one of THESE on my Colt/Umarex.

I did not know there were so many different choices. The magazine grip looks neat. I am going to think about that. I will try holding on to the mag first,  just to see how it feels.

I use a vertical foregrip on one rifle, my Bushmaster AR-15 Modular.  I have Magpul AFGs on two others, which I like to use - they offer some comfortable shooting time.

i got a vertical foregrip/bipod for my mossberg tact22 only beacuse i wanted a bipod and i dont like the look of the folded kind, so its nicely stashed in the foregrip when not in use

You are welcome-but beware, the ones that clamp around the magwell do not fit the Colt/Umarex.  ;D

If the rifle has a detached rear pistol grip I usually like one one the front as well. Makes for fast and secure handling.

Here is an example of a FAB Defense Foregrip/Bipod. I also did some dremel work on pressure switch that allowed me to put the pressure switch for the light inside the cover instead of glue or velcro. You can see it in the pics that show the right side of the foregrip. I bought mine out of China for about $35 after shipping. If you purchase it from your normal places in US you will be hard pressed to find them under $80 after shipping. Most are around the $100 and are the exact same FAB Defense grip.
