imschur Posted February 28, 2010 Author Report Posted February 28, 2010 Heres some neat images. They were shot as medium jpegs with no post processing. The only thing I did was crop and compress them for size. The neat thing about these images was that I used a slave flash from a Nikon macro lens attachment. The slave flash was aimed at the guns top strap while I shot from the front and overhead with the on board flash. The D90 was used as a master in "commander mode"to fire the slave. The images were hand held in auto.Im pretty surprised at how well they turned out just screwing around
imschur Posted February 28, 2010 Author Report Posted February 28, 2010 actually the number 1 image was using the slave aimed at a silver reflector. Thats why it looks slightly different
imschur Posted May 16, 2010 Author Report Posted May 16, 2010 Heres a little bee that was about half the size of a yellow jacket, notice the pollen
imschur Posted May 16, 2010 Author Report Posted May 16, 2010 For size perspective, in the last picture the bee is on a clover flower
lmao_37 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 what sort of ens are you using ? is it a macro or normal lens with macro ability ?
lmao_37 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 its a nice lens i just wonder'd what type of lens you used to take the photos with, i have a canon rebel xt myself and i also have a Olympus OM1 and i brought an adapter ring for the canon so all my OM1 lenses now fit my canon most of the lenses i have for the OM1 have macro capability as standard and i also have brought a couple of om lenses to use on the canon as i prefer manual lenses over power lenses dont know why i just do ;D
rodent.22 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 I have a ''one click''....it's beyond me, I'm techno-deprived. :o
imschur Posted May 19, 2010 Author Report Posted May 19, 2010 i think we have an OM-1 around here too :)The Nikon for all it's wonders works best in manual or some form of manual with the camera calculating some settings. The down side of this lens is I need to be about 4' away from a 1911 to get the entire gun in the lens

asmurff Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 I've spent since Saturday taking my neice who is in a Master Degree program for photography all around New Mexico. She has shot will over 1200 pictures with her SLR digital camera. Today I got a break she is in Santa Fe with a high school friend who is stationed here in the Air Force, good thing since I spent yesterday climbing around Spanish missions from the 1600s at 6-7,000 feet and I'm tired. :P She makes it look so easy and when she is explaining it I just nod alot, cause I ain't got a clue what she is talking about.
