asmurff Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 I think a lot has to do with how you want to use the sling. If it is just to carry it from the vehicle to a spot on the shooting line, by an inexpensive Allen or Uncle Mike.
techmike Posted August 27, 2009 Author Report Posted August 27, 2009 Actually, I was thinking more along the line of a tactical sling.
imschur Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 I want a sling for accurate target shooting
Microgunner Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 I've wasted more money on slings (and holsters) than I care to admit. The absolutly, hands down finest tactical sling I've ever purchased, or used, is the URBAN E.R.T sling I installed on my FN FS2000.

I have an FS2000 as well.
Microgunner Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 I believe they make them for many different rifle models. I am a member at FNF although I rarely visit and almost never contribute. Those guys know WAY more about FN's than I do.
techmike Posted September 6, 2009 Author Report Posted September 6, 2009 Thx Microgunner - will check-em-out!TM
ollie the dog Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 For a tactical sling I use one of the black hawk ones on my spikes tacticl st22 love it to bits realy good for scooting and shooting with the rimfire
FS2KSTD Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 URBAN ERT or Gear Sector ASP are 2 of my favs for single point. Viking Tactics, Gear Sector GS2P or Blackhawk CQD for 2-points.
rodent.22 Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 Well Mr. Thrifty here...LOL I hung my mini from the side with a single 1'' sling from Wallyworld- $8.00. The rifle hangs dead level and comfortable. Very easy to bring to point......
crashoverrideplik Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 I got a single point from Black Rain Ordnance . It was like $25.
crashoverrideplik Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 I like it a lot. I shot 2K rounds last weekend out of the CMMG. It was very comfortable and natural feeling. I really can't believe how all over the place slings are $$$ wise.
techmike Posted February 9, 2011 Author Report Posted February 9, 2011 Can you post a picture? I have tried a two point sling, and it just seems to get in the way on the M4.Thanks,TM
Alfa One Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 I really want a one point sling as well. Just hope I can buy them over here.
techmike Posted March 20, 2011 Author Report Posted March 20, 2011 I am in Oklahoma for a training class, and there was a great gun show at the state fairgrounds in OK City. Got a real nice single point sling from the guy that makes them for area law enforcement. $30. Will post pics when I return home. :thumb:
M4rk Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 lacking knowledge on this area... how do u add a sling attachment?? does the castle nut jus unscrew??
techmike Posted July 3, 2011 Author Report Posted July 3, 2011 That is one way - loosen the nut with an AR armorer's tool, and replace the tube lock with an after market one with sling attachment points. I have an a new tube lock to do exactly that, but have not gotten around to it, so I cannot confirm that an AR tube lock will fit the Colt. Remember that the Colt does not contain a buffer, spring, ect. You can also purchase attachment points that clamp on to your accessory rails, and many butt stocks, including the Colt's, come with slots or attachment points. TM
